To kick off the 2026 Conference Programme in Budapest, Classical Unlocked hosted the women* in music meet-up with a bit of a different approach. Rather than a conversation that started and ended once the session was over, Thea Paraskevaides created a space for delegates to return to, read, and contribute to over the course of Classical:NEXT 2026. The result: The Listening Wall. Delegates added their reflections and recommendations of what often goes unheard in the music industry, and comments continue to be welcome in an effort to sustain and continue the initiative. What would you add to the wall? #ClassicalNEXT #ClassicalMusic #FutureBuilding #Exchange 📸 @dermangler *women and gender-diverse

One of the things I love about @classicalnext is have the space to ask really challenging questions... with this being one of them! Would love to know your take on it... I had a blast in Budapest, with my highlight being hosting the Classical:NEXT podcast live show. Huge thanks for @chrislloydpianist , Jamie Njoku-Goodwin OBE, @nathossa , and @szambelan_cellist for joining me and up for being thrown in deep end with the questions. You can both listen and watch the whole thing here on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. A huge thank you to Fabienne Krause and @ahhleeyaynaa for working on the first season of the podcast, it’s been so much fun! Also, loved chatting and catching up with SO many people. It makes for such a fun and engaging conference. Can’t wait to do it all again in Poland next year. #Classical #Orchestra #ClassicalMusic

Finding the courage to act is no small feat, but having allies and supporters in many places certainly makes it all feel that little bit more possible. Merci Marielle Garagnani for the wonderful feedback and to the incredible Classical:NEXT community who contributes to creating the atmosphere that leads to this sentiment. This is why we do what we do. #ClassicalNEXT #Community #Collaboration #Connection #ClassicalMusic ArtMusic

Some of the things I learned at Classical:NEXT while wearing my different hats - as a business owner, a performer, a listener, and everything in between. I wanted to write them down so I remember, and maybe some of you will find them useful too. Thank you again for having me, @classicalnext and see you next year in Katowice 💙 Press ticket provided.

One of my favorite things about the classical music world is that people genuinely want to push it forward. 🌍 Got to be part of that conversation at @classicalnext in Budapest — presenting on technology in pedagogy and connecting with educators and performers from all over. Come see what Budapest looks like through a violist’s eyes. 🎥 @vanrahdesign #viola #travelgram #budapest #musictech #goulash
