“We were thrown out bc we’re not war criminals” explains @bita_4liberation . This happened before the big incident at the White House Correspondents Dinner #WHCD, renamed the “War Crimes Correspondents Dinner” by protesters outside the Washington-Hilton Hotel that night who were uplifting Lebanese journalist #AmalKhalil and 270 other journalists killed by Izzy in Gaza since Oct. 2023 #FreePalestine

Jacquie Luqman @luqmannation1 is tired of hearing that bombing Iran as an “Epstein distraction”, and her flow starting :40 listing 20 seconds of U.S. crimes against humanity is both impressive and clarifying. Interview was last night at White House for #NoWarWithIran #FreePalestine #FreeCongo #FreeSudan ADD: I see this post is spreading as it should. Jacquie Luqman has been an incredible voice in DC for a while & speaks truth to power so deeply that it got her indispensable DC radio show “By Any Means Necessary” cancelled, So if you want to support more of this kind of analysis, pls consider joining her Patreon 👇 as a subscriber Link patreon.com/luqmannation?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=join_link

A few weeks ago, On The Collision “Where Sports And Politics Collide” we discussed an incident in DC where both MPR and Undercover Agents in unmarked cars jumped out on on Jamari Khalif @jamarikhalif in broad daylight while he was simply walking down the street minding his business. Many commented that they would like an update to what happened with this so I reached out to him personally and invited him to be one of our guests at the next live episode at Bus Boys And Poets, and he agreed Chuck Modi @chuckmodi1 recently interviewed an amazing activist and community organizer Afeni @factsandfire and @fairbudgetdc after participating in a protest at 5am in front of Mayor Bowser’s @mayor_bowser home, on why the recent budget proposal by Mayor Bowser @murielbowser is insufficient. From cuts in youth programming, housing, defunding of emergency rental assistance, health care complaints, the fact that 10% of all youth services are being cut in DC etc but Bowser proposes yet another increase in the police budget of 15%. It will be an honor to interview her live as well as Bus Boys And Poets this Thursday. We will also be joined by two gifted young poets from PG County who I have had the pleasure of seeing perform recently and they are absolutely amazing.

It’s amazing that so many people are still dismissing these Howard Students who boo’d Mayor Bowser @mayor_bowser and saying they don’t know what they’re talking about. They have been through 4 years at one of the most prestigious HBCU’s in the country. They have been educated in a way that differs from the education at a PWI. They are more well read and can recite facts and specific policy from Mayor Bowser than most adults. To write them off simply because of their age is very reminiscent of the elders who wanted to write off SNCC back in the Civil Rights era but it was Dr King who empowered them and supported them and encouraged them. The adults were all saying that they needed to fall in line with what they wanted and they didn’t understand because of their age. Amazing how much history repeats itself. But ignore all of the naysayers and never forget who you are and keep that same fire and passion and willingness to stand up for what you believe in for the rest of your lives. No matter who you are standing up against. Much Respect 👊🏾 HU!!!!!!!!!! Link to our interview with two of the actual Howard Students who protested Mayor Bowser speaking at their Graduation is in my bio under The Collision “Where Sports And Politics Collide”

Yesterday, I was grateful to join Free Black mamas DMV in Washington, DC on Mother's Day to fight for a future where Black mamas & their families can thrive, free from systems of criminalization and family separation. 2026 marks 5 years of the Black Mothers March to end family policing! This year's theme: WE GOT US. This is a milestone year. After 2026, the Black Mothers March will evolve into coordinated local marches nationwide beginning in 2027. Please follow @freeblackmamasdmv & @harrietsdreams for more info.
