One. A full 365 around the sun, son.
And a few more by the time it took me to write this.
Funny how time works now.
Before you, it was measured by projects and deadlines. Calendar reminders, holidays, anniversaries, weekend plans. Late nights, date nights.
Now it’s smiles, milestones, singing songs and made up names. Tiny victories, losing socks and building blocks. No alarm clocks. Less lie-ins, more morning oxytocin.
A lot more makes sense now.
Nothing prepares you for the moment time stops being abstract and becomes a person.
Blown my mind.
A living, growing visual representation of time.
The happiest soul. Our greatest achievement. The smallest flirt I know.
My Valentine, my son.
One, done.

This one’s special, for many reasons.
Meet Snickers Sans, the new custom typeface crafted for the Snickers brand. Rooted in the iconic American Gothic classification and reimagined with a bold, modern Snickers twist. The family was built from the wordmark up, capturing the brand’s unmistakable attitude and flavour in every detail.
We developed both Display and Text families, ensuring Snickers DNA shows up everywhere, from billboard to back of pack. From XXL impact moments to XS functional copy, we spent time to ensure it performs seamlessly at every scale with clarity and flavour.
We also led the global expansion, including Greek and Cyrillic, with expert support from the brilliant Irene and Krista. Now supporting 300+ languages, Snickers Sans delivers true global consistency at scale engineered to be EPIC everywhere.
Huge shoutout to the entire DRAMA, JKR and Snickers teams, a proper collaboration from start to finish. Special mention to Diego, our head chef, for cooking on this one, and to Fred for sourcing the finest ingredients.
Keep ya eyes peeled, full project drops this week.

A glimpse into our talk, The Age of Typographic Distinction, for COMMON MATTERS 5 presented by @movewithcraft .
A big thank you to everyone who came along to hear Will and I talk about words, and the letterforms within those words, that make the words themselves interesting and, in turn, make those words distinctive.
And an even bigger thank you to the team @movewithcraft for inviting us. We really are entering the age of typographic distinction. Make type custom again!
For those that are interested, the full talk is available for your viewing pleasure. Link in bio!

Soon to live in an unnecessarily large frame, on a wall, all by itself. Exactly as it deserves.

Schoolbook.
Been reading this one a lot atm. I love a slab-serif (especially the Century type family) but had never seen this single-storey variation before. The researcher in me had to dig deeper and eventually found it: Century Schoolbook Infant a special cut from 1992, created for a client updating an old phototypesetting version of Century for children’s educational use. Love it. Font facts!
