It’s an honour to be part of the @reykjavikfilmfestival Talent Lab this year and to spend a week with such a talented group of filmmakering peers. I feel lucky to have met such lovely people, and to be able to now call them my friends. Humbled to have been in the presence of Bong Joon Ho and Athina Tsangari, directors at the top of their game who remain disarmingly approachable and kind. Thank you to @olafdefleurjoh for encouraging us to embrace our imperfections. And thank you most of all to @amalia.jessen , who worked tirelessly to care for us throughout the week. Thank you all. The series touches on a variety of issues, including abuse, neglect, alcoholism, sexuality, and what it means to be a family. The director’s hope is that it will further these conversations between Asian families watching at home, and serve as a reminder that “we can be on the same page, it doesn’t have to be a fight…we can move towards healing.” Streams Flow from a River is now available to stream in Canada on @superchanneltv , Apple TV and Amazon Prime.”
