@crying2leya 's first show since the pandemic was unlike any other ambient/noise show I've seen. The crowd was boisterous, the DJ sets bumpin. Unhinged, I dare say, not unlike Russell Crowe's latest film.

Spent an afternoon at the newly opened @johnnysbk a few months back, shooting their vibrant Peruvian-Chinese dishes and chifa-inspired cocktails. The Pollo a la brasa rotisserie chicken is the star, but those spare ribs…maybe the best in the city rn. And don’t skip the cocktails, with some killer recipes coming from the @mr.melobar crew across the street 🐔
france, part deux: the south got something to say
a couple of days bouncing around sun-bleached Provence, and we only scratched the surface. as @youseemefromthere declared in the mountain town of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, "bury me here"
i brought two cameras to france. one digital, and one film: an old Olympus SP35. when i reached the end of the first roll on the olympus, i tried to rewind it, but it seemed to be stuck 😫 i took it to a camera shop in aix-en-provence, where the clerk disappeared to the back. a few minutes later, he came back out:
“voilà le problème.”
“there is no film in this camera” 🆒️
well my digital camera don't need no stinkin' film 😤 here are some pixel-based images from paris & surrounding areas 🥖
a peek inside @thesnailnyc , a few months back when they just opened their doors 🐌 they've garnered more than a little buzz since then, and it's all 100% deserved. don't sleep on that anchovy caesar salad (last slide) 🤌
@thepetermanheim just released the grooviest jazz record of the year, and i had the honor of creating these photos for him.
we shot in prospect park on the first day of march, and by the end the sun was going down and we could barely feel our fingers. but the light was perfect so I'm glad we pushed through! some of my favorite golden hour shots i’ve ever taken 🙂

on the 1 month anniversary of super bowl LIX, i'm pleased to share some images from the superb Owl (@theowlbk ), where i spent that illustrious evening. while most of america watched grown men toss around a pigskin, i watched @paulbedal tickle the ivory along with his merry band, to the delight of all sports agnostics in attendance. if memory serves, i believe paul even improvised a free jazz version of kendrick lamar's "not like us". yeah i'm like 72% sure that happened 🏈
the new @masmadreamworld album 𝕻𝖑𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖊 𝕮𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝕿𝖔 𝕸𝖊 (which I had the massive honor to co-produce, mix, and master) is out TODAY y'all. recorded over 2 incense-infused, pizza-fueled sessions in Vermont at my grandfather's house and in Big Indian, NY at @birdwatcherstudios 🍕
