Our project with Glen Beckford Frames centres on a refined, historically grounded identity.
The logotype draws on Caslon – an 18th-century English typeface – giving it a sense of continuity and quiet authority. Subtle typographical design echoes the precision of Glen Beckford’s frames, reflecting the level of craftsmanship involved. A key decision was not to show the frames directly. Instead, the visual language focuses on context – museum interiors and close-ups of renowned artworks. The frames are implied rather than shown.
This places the work within the same visual world as the institutions it supports, positioning Glen Beckford in direct association with the museums, galleries and collections his work already sits within.

CHK Design developed the visual identity and social media campaign for the Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio (AAIS).
‘Not-Yet Festival, re:turn’ is an experimental work at the intersection of spatial and interdisciplinary practice, created by the AAIS.
The identity is built around a dialogue between structure and flow. The letterforms balance architectural precision with a looser, more organic movement, giving the type a character that feels both deliberate and alive. The opening poster uses overlap and layered motion to echo the energy and physicality of the performance.
This work forms part of an ongoing collaboration, including website design, their latest publication (/people), and social media campaigns.
‘Not-Yet Festival, re:turn’ takes place at Stone Nest London on Friday 20 March at 6.30pm.

This is the latest issue of L’Écologiste, designed and art directed by CHK Design. In this issue, editor-in-chief Thierry Jaccaud examines the complexities of nuclear energy and its implications for the environment.
The colours of the magazine are from the natural beauty of our planet: the deep blue of the oceans, the lush green of the forests, the rugged brown of the mountains, and the warm beige of the deserts.
The Ecologist, founded in 1970 by Teddy Goldsmith, has evolved from its origins as an academic journal into one of the most prominent environmental affairs magazines globally.
Founder: Teddy Goldsmith
Editor-in-Chief: Thierry Jaccaud

At the centre of PMP Artbooks’ new brand identity are the abstract letters PMP – a logotype that reflects the structural precision behind their meticulous printing work. Working with artists whose practices often explore material and process, we wanted the identity itself to feel constructed – shaped through proportion and restraint.
Built as a flexible typographic structure, the logo shifts proportion and scale without losing integrity – maintaining coherence across print, digital and environmental contexts.
Over the years, PMP has produced printed matter for artists including Gerhard Richter and Georg Baselitz, collaborating with institutions such as Gagosian and Buchhandlung Walther König. The identity needed to carry that weight without competing with it.
The new identity reflects this legacy, shifting focus from process to outcome – foregrounding the results of PMP’s close engagement with artists and institutions worldwide.
The publication shown here, TRANSFORMERS by Timur Si-Qin, was printed by PMP Artbooks in an edition of 500, published by Société and designed by Eric Wrenn Office, New York.

Congratulations to Ming on her 25th anniversary from CHK!
A celebrated designer of contemporary fine jewellery, Ming has been an inspiring creative partner over the years.
One of our favourite remarks from her comes from an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. When asked about the most rewarding aspect of her work, Ming answered: it is seeing the joy and delight her creations bring and knowing she has crafted something to be treasured.
CHK designed the hand-crafted logotype inspired by the beauty of Renaissance stone inscriptions in Florence.

@chkdesign sought to capture the essence of contemporary composer Anna Bauer by visually reimagining her unique musical style.
Her compositions seamlessly blend minimal electronic elements with acoustic textures, resulting in immersive, cinematic soundscapes. The accompanying images by Eberhard Grossgasteiger are intentionally ambiguous and abstract, inviting open interpretation and reflecting the layered complexity of her sonic worlds.
The logo consists exclusively of the letters “A” and “B,” alongside a colon. The colon symbolizes repetition in musical notation, marking the start or end of sections to be repeated and underscores the cyclic nature of Bauer’s work.

CHK Design collaborated closely with authors Theo Lorenz and Tanja Siems on the design of their new book /People. Based on over 15 years of research at the Architectural Association’s Interprofessional Studio (AAIS), this book introduces the idea of “/People” as a new way to describe creatives who move between architecture, design, performance, and other fields.
With contributions by David Greene, Miraj Ahmed, Robin Hunt, Portia Kamons, Albena Yaneva, Graham Harman, Amr Assaad who are all associated with AAIS.
