INSERTI/PROJECT: ‘Inserti’ is a collection of vases whose design encourages practices of daily beauty. The encounter between the linear aluminum bar and the handcrafted ceramic pot opens a space for many different floral compositions. For the Design Week I will present’ ‘Kitchen with Garden’, an installation that explores the relationship between domestic and natural space, blurring their boundaries: the kitchen of a Milanese apartment is reinterpreted through overlapping wooden scenographies, where my vases from the Inserti collection — presented in a new color palette — will compose a small landscape, setting a dialogue between inside and outside. The space will be populated by heterogeneous elements, some designed and others recovered — textured surfaces, flowers, plants, reflective materials, small pieces of furniture, and a large handmade paper curtain — giving life to an abstract and intimate domestic landscape, suspended between the natural and the artificial. ‘Radical Conviviality. The Phantom House’ è una ricerca condotta all’interno del corso di Design Methods del Master di Interior Design di @ied_milano , volta ad indagare le trasformazioni della città contemporanea attraverso la lente interpretativa degli interni. Protagonista della ricerca è stato il fantasma del Blocco Sarpi-Bramante, il grande complesso di edilizia sociale che dominava la Chinatown Milanese, storicamente di proprietà dell’Ospedale Maggiore e dal 2018 in mano a un fondo immobiliare che ne ha ordinato lo svuotamento in vista di un progetto di riqualificazione. Sulla soglia di quella che era stata la loro casa abbiamo incontrato i membri del Comitato Ca’Sarpi, associazione di ex residenti del Blocco nata per combattere le logiche dello sradicamento e rivendicare il proprio diritto a restare nel quartiere, dove le loro radici restano tutt’oggi saldamente ancorate. Se oggi del Blocco Sarpi Bramante resta in piedi solo la spettrale facciata, le storie di quelle case perdute hanno ripreso vita, riscritte in quindici modellini di carta realizzati a mano dagli studenti: non fragili teatrini nostalgici, ma pezzi in miniatura di una città abitata per cui vale la pena lottare. La ricerca sarà presentata in primavera durante un’happening che ricostruirà in scala reale alcuni degli elementi architettonici del blocco, a dimostrarci che gli interni sono luoghi di cittadinanza e che il design può essere una forza a servizio dei beni comuni. Si è conclusa la settima edizione di EDIT Napoli 2025, la fiera dedicata al design editoriale e d’autore che quest’anno, nella nuova sede centrale de La Santissima ha accolto un pubblico internazionale di professionisti e appassionati. A conquistare la giuria internazionale per l’area “Main” è stata l’architetta Chiara Lionello (@chiaralionello ) con “Inserti”: un progetto che reinterpreta l’archetipo del vaso aprendo un dialogo tra artigianato e industria.

We are happy to share our finalist project for the @millenairecaen2025 a collaboration between @formsofcommons @chiaralionello and @oliviero.fiorenzi La Boîte Magique is a pavilion designed as a meeting place for communities along the Normandy coast. Inspired by the maritime imaginary, it offers a space that is both functional and poetic, capable of accommodating everyday gestures and shared moments. The pavilion manifests a dual nature: when closed, it serves as a shelter or cloakroom; when open, it becomes a gathering point for cultural events, exchanges or parties. The project is brought to life through a participatory workshop organized with the local community, based on the creation of a graphic alphabet inspired by nautical code, in close collaboration with the artist Oliviero Fiorenzi. This alphabet becomes a collective language, weaving links between territory, memory and community.
