A sweet treat from @hanisbakerynyc is always worth the wait! For Jubilee NYC, baker and Hani’s co-owner @shilpauskokovic created a rich chocolate cake with @ghirardelli ’s Dutch process cocoa, topped with a light, creamy marzipan buttercream and homemade raspberry jam. Attendees lined up for a slice and a moment to chat with Shilpa during lunch. She was also a panelist on the “Fresh Out of the Oven: New York’s Most-Wanted Treats & The Bakers Behind Them” breakout session, where she talked about her journey to owning a successful bakery. If you work in hospitality, you probably wish there were a number you could call 24/7 to get answers to your most burning questions. ☎️ @square made that a reality at Jubilee with the breakout session titled “Hospitality Hot Line: Learn from The Most Successful Industry Pros.” We were so fortunate to have four incredible leaders join us for the session: ⭐ Rita Sodi and @chefjodywilliams , the award-winning restaurateurs behind @viacarota , @buvettenyc , @isodinyc , @barpisellino , and @commerceinn , and culinary partners at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. ⭐Jenny Nguyen, the founder of @thesportsbrapdx , the first sports bar in the world dedicated to showcasing female sports. @jennyfromthebra is working with Reddit co-founder @alexisohanian to expand The Sports Bra to Boston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, St. Louis, and Portland, Maine. ⭐ Elisa Marshall @_byelisa_ , the baker, author, and co-founder of @_mamannyc_ , the French-inspired bakery, cafe, and event spaces now found in more than 50 locations across the U.S. and Canada. It’s an egg-cellent conversation on She’s My Cherry Pie today! Our guest is Lisa Steele of @fresheggsdaily . She is a fifth-generation chicken keeper, Maine master gardener, TV personality, and the author of nine books. She recently released her second cookbook, “In Season: 125+ Sweet and Savory Recipes Celebrating Simple, Fresh Ingredients.” ⁠ ⁠ Lisa joins host @jessiesheehanbakes to talk about growing up near her grandparents’ chicken farm, baking angel food cake as a kid, and how raising chickens led to her blog, books, TV show, and more. ⁠ She also walks us through her recipe for pannukakku—the Finnish oven pancake with a custardy interior and puffy, golden brown exterior (similar to a Dutch baby). Today’s guest on Radio Cherry Bombe is @michelle__palazzo , the superstar pastry chef behind some of New York City’s most beloved restaurants and desserts. Michelle oversees the pastry teams for the group that includes @frenchettenyc , @lerocknyc , @leveaudor , Frenchette Bakery at the @whitneymuseum , and the brand-new @wildcherrynyc . The last time Michelle joined us, she was making her podcast debut. Fast forward, she’s a mom and leading pastry teams across multiple locations. Throwback Thursday to our Fashion Plate issue with cover star @camillebecerra . Lots of you know and love Chef Camille from her pop-ups and cookbook. She’s doing a Kickstarter to raise funds for Studio Becerra, a café, pantry, and food research studio. After years of working in other people’s restaurants, she wants a place to call her own! Camille just hit her $50k goal, but has a few days left to raise more funds. If any of you have opened your own place, you know how expensive it is! If there’s one thing we know about the Bombesquad, they love their beverages! So thank you to @drinkdona , the independent tea company based in Brooklyn and known for their chai and matcha, for keeping everyone at Jubilee hydrated and happy throughout the day. 🍵 During the Welcome Hour, guests started their morning with Dona Ceremonial Matcha & Masala Chai Lattes. 🥤 During Lunch Break, Dona set the scene with a beautifully stocked iced tea bar, featuring Amber Assam, Flirt Herbal Tea, and Rising Green Tea. Guests could mix and match to their liking, with a selection of syrups made from their Hari River Mint & Garden Lemongrass teas 🍹 During Happy Hour, Dona served a thoughtfully crafted Himalayan Chamomile Vanilla N/A Spritz, a soothing way to end the day. 🍬 Paige Nickless of @fremecraiche made Chai Snickerdoodle and Strawberry Matcha Bon Bons using Dona’s teas for guests to pair with their drinks throughout the day. 📸 @kateblohm & Team CB

There was no shortage of sweet moments at Jubilee—and some of the sweetest were at the @ghirardelli café. Jubilee attendees enjoyed mochas throughout the day and exclusives treats created by three beloved NYC bakeries: 🍫 @zoekanan of @elbowludlow dreamed up the kolaches of all kolaches. Hers were topped with chocolate chip banana pudding and sprinkled with chocolate graham cracker crumbs.   🍫 @shilpauskokovic of @hanisbakerynyc crafted a rich chocolate cake with homemade raspberry jam and a light, creamy marzipan buttercream. 🍫 Pam Weekes & Connie McDonald of @levainbakery reimagined their iconic chocolate chip walnut cookie… in brownie form! (They also signed copies of their book, “Levain Bakery: A Story of Friendship, Community, and Cookies”) Zoe, Shilpa, Pam, and Connie were also panelists, along with @fromlucienyc ’s Lucie Franc de Ferriere, during “Fresh Out of the Oven: New York’s Most-Wanted Treats & the Bakers Behind Them,” the breakout session presented by Ghiradelli and moderated by She’s My Cherry Pie host @jessiesheehanbakes . The star bakers discussed everything from their most popular menu items to the role social media plays in their success to their go-to spots in the city.
