Leave it to pastry chef @zoekanan to create one of Jubilee’s most beautiful baked goods! The @elbowludlow co-owner crafted a Chocolate Chip Banana Pudding Kolache with @ghirardelli chocolate and rich brown butter brioche. Each one was filled with vanilla pudding, banana jam, and fresh sliced bananas, then finished with a sprinkle of chocolate graham cracker crumbs. Unsurprisingly, they disappeared quickly at the Ghirardelli café during our conference!
Zoë also joined the “Fresh Out of the Oven: New York’s Most-Wanted Treats & The Bakers Behind Them” breakout session panel, sharing her journey and what it’s really like running a bustling bakery in the city.

1 YEAR 1 LUDLOW. As of this Friday, we’ll have been baking your bread and brewing your coffee for 1 entire year on the Elbow-shaped corner of Canal-Ludlow-Division. EEEEK.
For the occasion, we’re bringing back our HOT DOGS from 12-4 on the 24th! This time it’s snappy all beef franks, crimson crisp apple butter, pickled celery, really grainy mustard, and fried shallots in our fluffy buns. Exactly what you always expected from the neighborhood bakery!

We were hesitant at first to have a croissant on our menu. We’re not a French bakery and weren’t sure it made sense for us or our production. But, our customers reaaalllly wanted one so we set out to make one that felt like us. Our Challah Croissants are enriched with egg yolks and sunflower oil, sweetened with honey, flavored with sourdough, and layered with butter. The result is flaky and familiar but with a fluffier interior than a classic croissant and distinct challah taste. They’re inspired by brioche feuilletée and Argentinian pull apart medialunas. Thank you @nytimes + @mahirarivers for this tribute! Also big shout to @kirstenester and bakers @mary.bagels and @baxterronquillo who are constantly improving and perfecting our process.

Milk and dark chocolates, brown sugar and molasses, roasted and shredded nori, crunchy sea salt, crispy edges, fudgy centers. Familiar in all the right ways but keeps you on your toes.
EDIT: Apple Cider Donuts extended through entire month of January! HANUKKAH DONUT WEEKEND @ ELBOW! Beginning at 9am this Saturday + Sunday we’ll be frying, sugaring, filling, punching, and glazing throughout the day in celebration of ~oil~. Planned menu includes:
