Here’s where I was published in 2025: I Can’t Even Think Straight (UK/Commonwealth and North America). Person Unlimited (UK/Commonwealth paperback), Joy and Becoming (Poetry Pharmacy anthologies), Aftershock Review (Issue 2), ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas (audio anthology), and Refuse to Be Quiet: An Anthology by the First Story Group at Platanos College (edited by me). Thanks to everyone who has been part of my publishing journey this year!

It was a joy to hop on a jolly zoom in a heatwave-baked park with @spiraclehq and @cherry_potts_writer late summer – and a slight surprise to be asked to curate an audiobook of Christmas poems. A few months of careful crafting later, as the clocks go back and the mercury drops, these glorious samples land on my doorstep.
If you don’t know Spiracle’s groundbreaking @audiobookinacard scheme, allow us to introduce you. They’re found a way of taking audio from the Mars-bound billionaire’s techsphere, and returned it, beautifully packaged and curated, to bookshops. So roll up, headphones on, and allow Cherry and I to introduce you to this joyous collection…

“We have found a cornucopia of poems old and new, far wider than traditionally read, both in terms of the obvious poems that spring to mind and in the sense of what people tend to mean by ‘Christmas’. We were delighted to find many soulful, sometimes cheeky, often deeply community-focused ways of celebrating the winter dark and return of light, which we hope can breathe life into anyone’s winter festivities. Donkeys and wise men? Sure, but not as you know them, and so too the wayward band of Christmas temps. Father Christmas gets a look in, of course, together with his dark twin, Krampus”.

I’m very happy to announce that submissions are open for UP//ROAR: Poems of Queer Resistance, which will be published next year by @arachnepress . I’ll be co-editing with @cherry_potts_writer .
Following the success of JOY//US: Poems of Queer Joy, we decided that as the world has taken a dramatic turn for the worse for many LGBTQ+ people, then queer creative poetic resistance was needed! That can be whatever it means to you (apart from violence and hate - we don’t do that).
Coming out as Queer Resistance!
Living bold as Queer Resistance!
Pushing back as Queer Resistance!
Shouting out as Queer Resistance!
Showing up as Queer Resistance!
Knowing history as Queer Resistance!
Doing the work as Queer Resistance!
Politics as Queer Resistance!
Creativity as Queer Resistance!
The printed book as Queer Resistance!
The exclamation mark as Queer Resistance!
Now is the time for Queer Resistance!
Submitting your poetry to UP//ROAR is Queer Resistance!
The call out is live and submissions close 1st November (UK/RoI only, LGBTQ+ poets only).

A small opinion piece in #poetrynews on why I don't publish #naturepoetry except for when I do... which is usually, but not exclusively #Ecopoetry. Afonydd is a good example of this, using rivers to carry memory and myth, anger and hope, through the medium of flooding, pollution, swimming and fish, amongst many others in a #bilingual journey around #Wales #Cymru
2025 Brockley Max post (details of 2026 events coming soon 👀)
To celebrate 🎉 the first public showing of my new book covers I'll be giving away three copies of the Rockstar Ending series prequel, For Those About to Rock, at Brockley Station this morning.
