It is not accidental we choose a song about war as our next single. With great apprehension, compassion and urge to resist we observe the genocide in Gaza and the ongoing wars. We contemplate history - political, but also personal, since some of us in the collective have experienced war and forced displacement, and live in a society that still suffers the consequences of a past armed conflict in its day-to-day. It is not our chosen role in society to analyze world events. It is to create songs and poems, and, through them, comment on what is happening around us. Komu majka is a song about a man who is forced to go to war. Leaving his house, he says goodbye to his parents and sister, who convince him he will come back. Lastly he says goodbye to his wife, who is crying, convinced that he won’t. The poem that follows (in the visuals), written by member of Chant Electronique Dunja Bahtijarević, is about coming back to the place you were forced to leave, and finding there is life being lived, but one you cannot squeeze into. Komu majka is a traditional song from Međimurje, Croatia. I heard “Dieu ajuda a paures gents” in a video of Bachàs-Mont-Jòia who recorded it in a church in Marseille in 1982. Mont-Jòia “is a little pile of stones that the shepherds used to erect to set their pastures and honour the mountain For me it refers to the period just before the Revolution of 1789 : the peasants, workers, craftsmen and women gathered in protests and created a new social entity : « the Third Estate ». They wrote complaints against the two other classes, the Nobles and the Clergy, to call for justice and to suppress certain mandatory taxes like « la talha » that went directly into the pockets of the higher classes. This song for me carries in the present time the protests of post-68 utopists and participants of revolution to come. We sing it now and it resonates with our own time and our own social inequalities [NK]: although i love to dance, not so often i produce electronic music one could easily dance to this one is made for dancing/moving moving/action produces strength

U suradnji Galerije umjetnina grada Slavonskog Broda i Brodskog kola, uz posebno sudjelovanje Folklornog ansambla Brod (FAB) , Kuća tambure postaje mjestom jedinstvenog glazbenog susreta. U Slavonski Brod stiže međunarodni kolektiv Çhâñt élečtrónïqùe, ansambl koji već godinama oduševljava europsku publiku spajajući drevne vokalne tradicije s elektroničkom glazbom, improvizacijom i modernom produkcijom. Çhâñt élečtrónïqùe okuplja sedmero umjetnika iz Francuske, Portugala, Irske, Hrvatske te Bosne iHercegovine. Od osnutka 2019. godine istražuju dodirne točke između tradicijskog pjevanja različitih europskih kultura i suvremenog elektroničkog zvuka. Njihov hvaljeni album prvijenac objavljen je za londonsku nezavisnu etiketu Rika Muzika, dok ih je britanski glazbeni magazin Songlines opisao riječima: „Kao da slušate tradicijsko zborsko pjevanje s tamne strane Mjeseca.“ Publiku u Kući tambure očekuje koncert koji briše granice između folklora i avangarde, između prošlosti i budućnosti. Tradicionalni napjevi, višeglasje, ritmovi raznih krajeva Europe i Mediterana te suvremeni elektronički pejzaži stapaju se u moćno i hipnotičko glazbeno iskustvo. Posebnu vrijednost ovom događaju daje suradnja s Folklornim ansamblom Broda, čime će se slavonska baština susresti s međunarodnim umjetničkim izrazom kolektiva. Ovaj zajednički nastup donosi dijalog lokalne tradicije i suvremenih europskih glazbenih strujanja, potvrđujući da naslijeđe može biti inspiracijom za nove, hrabre i uzbudljive forme. At a time when traditional music is often exploited for superficial tourist purposes, and when many argue that tradition should neither be altered nor modernised, Çhâñt Élečtrónïqùe’s approach restores the discussion to its essential foundations. Tradition is a living entity; it has always been subject to change. In the context of the present moment, the music created by Çhâñt Élečtrónïqùe strikes a compelling balance between tradition and contemporaneity. The members of Çhâñt Élečtrónïqùe met at various traditional music workshops and come from France, Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The group includes the well-known Dunja Bahtijarević and Nenad Kovačić, alongside Teresa Campos (Portugal), Louise Calzada, Nils Peschanski and Raphael Hardy (France), and Darragh Quinn (Ireland).
