The dream team. 🤍 I got the pleasure of being in a shoot that was a year in the making since a bunch of us watched Sailor Moon Cosmos last year and I had the best time. Everyone’s looks were *chef’s kiss* and seeing them go from the group chat to coming to life had me shook. Even more amazing was a) we had a full group!! and b) we were all able to switch from one character to another. Happy Pokemon Day!! ❤️ Fun fact: one of my first screen names on AOL was TogepiGirl88 and Misty still remains my fave Kanto gym leader to this day and as you can see the first gen is my favorite… as you can tell from the cosplays I’ve done. My first game was Pokemon Blue back when I was in the 5th grade (ow) and I felt very cool to have a purple translucent Game Boy Color from my grandpa (I still have it, it’s never getting thrown out). Anyway I saw the new starters for Gen 10 and flailed. Crawling out from under my rock because I heard it’s Sonic cosplay day. 👀 I wish I had gotten more photos at LI Retro but such is life when you’re running around working for the cosplay team. I had a terrible year. The only reason I got through any of it was because of the people in this video (and a whole slew of others who weren’t) keeping my soul alive while the rest of my world was crumbling around me. This was from the impromptu karaoke goodbye party that my friends threw for me when I left New York. Hi and welcome to Chand’s great chop of 2025. ✨ This has been the longest I’ve had my hair in a while and now that I’ve temporarily moved to the tundra that it was time for my winter haircut. I’ve had hair trauma since I was a kid — having my grandma take me to a barbershop where they gave me a mullet in elementary school was the start of it, being told I would be “prettier with straight hair” in middle school had me straightening it until high school and my 20’s. I’m still tying to come to terms with loving my natural curls in my 30’s but we’re getting there slowly. It’s way more manageable for my autistic/ADHD brain when it’s short and it dries a hell of a lot faster too. I may not be cosplaying for the foreseeable future but I’ll never regret the years I had being able to make new friends, be creative, and just be silly adults who like to dress up with amazing people.
