As part of the South–South Learning Symposium convened by the @britishcouncil in partnership with @ncertindia this week, CSF anchored the Haryana field immersion for an international delegation of senior education leaders, policymakers, curriculum experts, researchers and assessment specialists from 10 countries - including Tanzania, Nigeria, Nepal, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, the United Kingdom, Ireland and India. 🌍🤝 This symposium, with participation from @adea.africa , The Learning Generation Initiative, @foreignanddevelopmentoffice , @unesco , @unicef , @blavatnikschool , @cambridgeuniversity and What Works Hub for Global Education, aims to facilitate knowledge exchange & #GlobalSouth partnerships on key priorities like foundational learning, multilingual education & assessment systems, teacher capacity-building, governance mechanisms and digital transformation in school education systems. In Haryana, the delegation visited government primary schools across Gurugram, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts to see the @nipun_haryana_mission in action! Delegates interacted with teachers and FLN Coordinators to understand how the Mission is being implemented at the last mile, and showed keen interest in the state's tech, data-led initiatives such as NIPUN Lakshya Teacher App, Mentor App and the Nipun Haryana Dashboard. 📱 It was also encouraging to hear delegate reflections during the post-visit interaction session with Sh. Jeetinder Joshi (HCS, Joint Director - Administration, Elementary Education, Haryana) and Dr Parmod Kumar (State Nodal Officer, FLN Haryana) - gratitude to all contributing partners! . . #SouthSouthLearning #FoundationalLearning #NIPUNHaryana #GlobalSouthEducation #EdTech #DataForEducation #AfricaEducation #EducationReform

With Artificial Intelligence (AI) becoming more and more integrated into our everyday lives, including our education systems, one critical question arises - can AI improve how assessments are done? What does the process look like? What guardrails need to be followed? In the latest episode of #EDgeTalks, we hear from Shri @gaurav1agrawal , IAS (District Collector, Jodhpur) as he talks about some interesting pilots being done in the city which combine assessments and AI. 💡 This is a conversation about innovation, embracing tech in the right way and leveraging it to strengthen our education system. CSF #EDuConclave2026 was a convening anchored in the sharing of success stories and best practices for #QualityEducation in India - attended by key policy makers, members of the education practitioner community, academia, and civil society. Through various sessions, the Conclave focussed on one core question: How do we ensure strong foundational learning for every child in India, leading up to the Hon’ble Prime Minister's vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047? Policy makers and our special guests collectively shared reflections on how FLN and the education system overall can be strengthened to achieve this vision - catch some excerpts! 💬 @eduminofindia @niti.aayog @bhartiairtelfoundation @theconvergencefoundation @basicshiksha.up . . #NIPUNBharat #ViksitBharat #FoundationalLearning #EarlyLearning #EdTech #Governance #SystemsReform #MinistryOfEducation #Philanthropy #CentralSquareFoundation

📌 CSF #EDuConclave2026 brought together leaders from government, philanthropy, academia, research and the #Education ecosystem to place Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) and Early Childhood Education (ECE) at the centre of India’s education reform agenda. Over a power-packed day, we reflected on five years of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, explored how EdTech and AI are strengthening classrooms, and discussed the way forward towards a #ViksitBharat for every child. ✨ We were honoured to begin with Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, DOSEL, Ministry of Education, who reminded us: “Education is not the responsibility of Sarkar alone—it is a collective effort of Sarkar, Samaj, Bazaar, and Sanstha.” The keynote by Shri Vinod Kumar Paul Hon’ble Memeber, NITI Aayog, underscored the urgency: “I urge more action from philanthropy… given the crucial window we have right now.” From the Ministry’s perspective, Smt. Archana Sharma Awasthi, Addl. Secretary, DOSEL, Ministry of Education, highlighted how NEP 2020 has brought early childhood education into the core—driving structured, outcome-focused learning. On EdTech, Shri, Dheeraj Sahu, IAS, Addl. Secretary, DOSEL, Ministry of Education, shared a clear message: if it doesn’t improve learning outcomes at scale, it’s not innovation—it’s a distraction. Discussions with leaders including CSF’s Founder-Chairperson, Ashish Dhawan and Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises and ecosystem experts kept #QualityEducation front and centre—focusing on evidence, progress, and the path ahead. A special highlight was Masti Ki Paathshala by Sesame Workshop—a joyful puppetry session with young learners from Ghaziabad that reminded us to keep children’s curiosity at the heart of our work. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and strengthened the shared mission of #AllChildrenLearning. ✨

📌 Reflections from the 'High Potential Students Nurturance Convening' - an important milestone in CSF’s High Potential Students workstream, which over the past year has focused on building rigorous evidence for this domain, including 5 pilot interventions under the TARANG STEM Accelerator. The convening brought together partners, policymakers, donors and practitioners who are committed to the shared vision of identifying and nurturing high-potential students for a #ViksitBharat. Special addresses by Dr. K. VijayRaghavan and @gurcharandas1943 Ji set the tone for the afternoon, as they both shared how "for a democratic society, a gifted individual is the greatest asset - but only if gifted education does not become a gilded cage for the elite". They highlighted the need for a system that helps identify exceptional learners early, and at scale, and further nurtures them to grow and lead. ✨ Alongside interesting panel discussions where participants explored what it takes to design advanced pathways, build support ecosystems inside and outside classrooms & strengthen public education systems, it was a fulfilling moment for us to release two new public goods at the convening - ▪️ 'The Long Bet': A documentation of best practices from nine Indian organisations building nurturance pathways for high-potential students. ▪️ 'The Constant & The Variable': A collection of journeys and insights from 15 individuals who have shaped and experienced India’s mathematical Olympiad ecosystem over the past two decades. Our gratitude to Sh. K.S. Upadhyay Ji (Additional Director of Education, Govt of NCT Delhi), Rohini Kaul from Kantar, IMO Medallists, TARANG partners and advisors, thought leaders and everyone else who joined us for this special convening. Here's to continuing the momentum towards building an equitable ecosystem for bright minds - such that their futures are not left to chance, but supported meaningfully at a system level. . . #HighPotential #HPS #STEM #GiftedEducation #Impact #Innovation #Leadership #SocialImpact #CentralSquareFoundation #IndiaLearning
