This spring, something new is taking root. The MUSE•eum is partnering with Chic Artistry Studio (@chicartistrystudio ) to transform the space into a living creative calendar filled with storytelling dinners, storytelling circles, workshops, and nights that remind you why culture matters. Centered.PHX (@centered.phx ) presents a free community screening of TCB: The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing (2025, 105 minutes). This documentary is a biography of the influential writer, filmmaker, and cultural worker whose humor and deep insight inspired a generation of artists to dedicate themselves to community empowerment. Structured as a series of lessons on cultural organizing, the film draws from Bambara’s life and is shared through the voices of her friends, colleagues, and students. This experience is part of an ongoing storytelling and documentary effort to center and preserve the voices of Black women in real time. Following the screening, community storytellers will share personal reflections inspired by the film, creating space for conversation, connection, and collective witnessing. Join us for an evening of film, storytelling, and community as we reflect on legacy, cultural work, and the power of telling our stories. ⸻ FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2026 📍@chicartistrystudio 222 E McDowell Rd Doors: 6:30 PM | Screening: 7:00 PM Free to attend | Limited seating

Dear Black Woman, I’m a proud mom, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. I am a woman who wears many titles with love and grace. An avid journaler, list maker, and planner, I have long turned to writing as a form of expression and release—a sacred space where my inner life can unfold freely onto the page. As the mother of two amazing young women, my oldest, 27 years old, holds a master’s degree in Journalism and works as a Junior Creative for a production company in Hollywood, CA, and my youngest, 22, is a doctorate student at Syracuse University in NY pursuing her AuD in Audiology, this project is personal. My first literary project, My Hero is M.O.M., Made Of Melanin, is a deeply personal offering rooted in her lived experience and spirit. It is a multidirectional, poetic tribute to the rich, layered experience of Black motherhood—a lyrical collection of odes, poetic reflections, and intimate narrative moments that speak to the heart of being both woman and mother. Driven by a passion to illuminate the beauty, resilience, and duality of Black mothers, I write with tenderness, fire, and a deep reverence for the women who nurture, lead, and evolve through generations. With every word, I seek to honor the complexity of motherhood and how it intersects with womanhood, the celebration of cultural pride, and the creation of a lasting tribute that feels like art in the hands and healing for the soul. Through My Hero is M.O.M., Made Of Melanin, Regina invites readers to sit at the table of shared experience—a table built on love, memory, sacrifice, and becoming. Come hear the story I wrote for you, Regina Reed Hill @spoken_exchanges - Centered.PHX (@centered.phx ) Storytelling Night-A live storytelling experience featuring real stories from Black folks. Each night centers authentic voices, shared memories, and the many ways Black life unfolds across the city.

Dear Black Woman, I guide trauma-informed, restorative, and yin yoga experiences that center rest, breath, and intentional play as pathways to healing. My approach blends somatic awareness with cultural and community care, creating safer spaces where people, especially Black and Brown communities, feel seen, held, and supported in joy. I am dedicated to the intersection of wellness, storytelling, and performance. With experience in trauma-informed practices, collaborative productions, and holistic arts programming, I use movement as a tool for healing and empowerment.
