New Daily Shouts piece for @newyorkermag ! This one is for all my movie lovers 🍿 Read it here or at link in bio. For the initial drafts of this comic, I concocted 70+ puns (hire me pls @bobsburgersfox ), created 30+ parody film posters, and spent way too many hours doing “research” on @letterboxd 😵‍💫 Hope you enjoy! My Grand (Re-Re-Re) Opening in @newyorkercartoons ! Find my toon in this week’s @newyorkermag - my first one in print 🗞 It’s surreal to see my work alongside other cartooning legends. To think that I may be the first Bangladeshi-American, the first Muslim woman to be a New Yorker cartoonist (someone fact check that for me!) This #redgoldandgreen comic is coming to an anthology near you 🌿 I’m delighted to be part of the How to Touch Grass anthology from @powerandmagicpress , which just relaunched its Kickstarter campaign! My comic “Run Zareen Run” explores access to green spaces in San Francisco and the tragicomedy of our transportation infrastructure (I promise, it’s fun!) There are over 30 comics from 50+ QTBIPOC creators in this beautiful collection exploring plant IDs, foraging recipes, community care, and everything in between. I can’t wait for you to see it!
