If you’re working on comics and want feedback/guidance/accountability, or need to beat back the demons of self doubt, and wanna connect with other comic artists, this is the place! Weekly calls and a platform to share work and talk about it with me and peers. You can message me for details or ask me anything about how the group works and what we do! It's a cold day in hell this December with Demons: Rise & Grind from @hyenahell ! The worst part of Hell isn’t the flames… it’s the paperwork.
Bug and Grog are pit demons of Hell, and they've got it pretty good. Some routine brutality, some quotidian violence, and then they are basically free to do whatever (and whomever) they like. That is, until Grog gets noticed for being frustratingly competent, and ruins the whole thing by being sent to work in Hell’s “upstairs office.” As he tries to navigate a series of byzantine systems and bureaucratic absurdities, Bug tries to navigate the frustration of being left behind. Will Bug learn to accept this new status quo with grace, or do something impulsive and reckless? Spoiler alert: It’s something impulsive and reckless.

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Hyena Hell - @hyenahell
Hyena Hell’s cartooning smashes up DIY punk aesthetics with classic silver age comics in an unholy farce for people who like John Waters movies and Kafka. They usually don’t write their own bio because it comes out sounding like this. They’ve been self publishing comics and zines for 25 years, and their DEMONS series, published by Silver Sprocket. Hyena also works with Sequential Artists Workshop as a comics mentor, which is definitely not the same thing as a cult leader, no matter what people may have told you. They embody the demonic in rural Kentucky, with two very good dogs.
