Today I share part of my story linked with Design. ๐๏ธโช๏ธ I always knew my path would be connected to the Arts. In kindergarten, I attended a Waldorf school, based on a pedagogy that strongly stimulates the imagination and creativity of the child, in a world full of fantasy, color, nature and stories.
Growing up in Lisbon area and Sintra, I always had a great fascination and contact with the Arts: I played piano, took photographs, drew, did theater, and in my family we always had a very active cultural life.
Later, I opted for Design as my basic training, at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Architecture, with an approach to Communication and Product Design
@ulisboa . During the course, I went to England in 2008, for an Erasmus semester at University for Creative Arts
@unicreativearts , which strongly marked me and led to a great desire to know, explore and work with Design in other parts of Europe.
That's what happened next, I headed to Basel in Switzerland and passed through London. Later in 2016, I returned to study in Switzerland, where I earned a Master's degree in Product Design from a major design school, ECAL/University of Art and Design in Lausanne
@ecal_ch .
Throughout all these 14 years of professional experience, I have worked with major brands, institutions and designers such as the lighting brand Foscarini (IT), designer Noรฉ Duchaufour Lawrance (FR), the brand Qwstion (CH), the Kickstarter platform (USA), the Made in Situ Gallery/Platform (PT), the optical startup Paloceras (FI), Studio Glithero (NL), among others.
Since 2021, I started to work independently, focusing on my contemporary glass editions and creative & design consultancy services for brands, businesses and designers, but that's a story for another post โก๏ธ๐.
