Official @hopscotchfest is over post and I had a blast doing magic for the MainStage hospitality thanks to @rachelberbec & @varani also thanks to all the bands that came by and hung out for some magic @jointruthclub @florrymusicband @anjimile @spiralstairsofficial (and others) Special thank you to @jbrekkie for being such a wonderful audience and the shout out on stage last night made me feel so warm. I’m beyond honored. Good to see everyone @blackdaddy @thelovelanguage @neilanchorless @timmychickenpants hopefully I’ll see y’all around today. #caseymagic

Yesterday was the last day of @highwaterfest had a great hang with @orvillepeck & team! Everyone is just amazing here and inspiring. So much happened yesterday…here’s all the pics. Until next year ️ #caseymagic

On Monday @slims_tagrams I got to see my buddies @wheelwright from Arizona play to a great crowd and then tour them around Raleigh the next day off. @samjonesbbq was had. Buck hunter was played. Magic happened. Went to @trianglepinballcollective for some silver ball and black emperor. @malortfan came along and brought barrel aged @jeppsonsmalort to lift spirits. Be with your friends. See their shows. Hug their necks.

Last Friday I got to see so many folks in Charlotte, namely @builttospill and @kristaw04 with @thehyposband and it was amazing! Even got to see my @eveningmuse family and friends who traveled for the show. Magic was had. Faces were rocked by music. I love my friends. Greg Cartwright did magic for me. Hug your friends because they may not be around next time you go looking for them ️

Get yourself some friends to just have massive hangs with. I got lucky with @kora.darko & @conorshack pulling me into the fold with @armslengthblues @harrisongordon_il @thecallousdaoboys & @supersometimes with a show and a bill yesterday that 3 or so years from now will be talked about as on your should have been there for. I love sharing my magic with these folks after they share theirs with us from the stage. Got to see @somichsteve and his dude Conner who were working for Bruno Mars and finished up early for Arms Length. Even got to hear about a 5’5” kidnap plot, a shout out from my dudes in Harrison Gordon, and got smoked up with the GWAR crew in the parking lot. Needs repeating…go do this stuff. Who knows where the world is going or how long we got.

Got to spend the last few days with @ipaintponies who was visiting Raleigh. Walking Oakwood and eating at @bigcat.brookside . She is super talented in many facets but does WONDERFUL and MAGICAL paintings. I have a “few”. Not only is she an amazing artist but an exceptional mom. World needs more good moms & art. If you are into it, look no further than getting pieces from her. Unique. Inspiring. Surreal.

Magic with old friends @mtjoyband @ohohdonna_o & @williampepple in a quick Wilmington trip. 24th Birthday of my one and only @lochlynblue and a couple of days spent with @officialtraecrowder @donsengstack & @nickdeezcomedy mostly at @le.dive.bar with @martin_wheeler and co. One day spent hitting up @theoptimistraleigh and Oakwood cemetery for a Jimmy V. Grave visit. I’ll tell you in these times, get out and hug your friends and do stuff. That’s the real magic.

I can tell you without a doubt that @ohsully is masterful at photos and I was lucky enough to jump in front of his camera 3 times (literally) at @highwaterfest years ago. If you are looking for the ‘vibe’ then sully has it in spades.

When you get a message from Mel in your @shovelsnrope family to perform for @kishi_bashi & @bayonnemusic you bring the magic…and they will in turn, bring the magic back to you. Their whole show was amazing, and I even got a couple shout outs during Mr. Steak time! What a lovely group and a lovely time. We talked about life, magic, and the songwriting prowess of @rhettmiller 10/10 would do again.

Made it to Charlotte on Sunday to see @coryjwong and company. Always the sweetest of hangs, and some of my favorite friends. They just crushed. Got to see @dlgordo do his thing as well as @victorwooten do his! Met some new people. Saw a new venue. Special thanks to @themarcorosa for his Italian late night driving prowess. As always special thanks to @thegeorgehage and @kreylek for the dope card work.
