This purrfectly vibrant day-to-night concept is created by and for the East Mordecai, Oakwood and surrounding family-centric communities it serves in Raleigh, NC. Big Cat is the creative brainchild from the Triangle’s most dynamic and intentional operators: James Beard nominated chef Cheetie Kumar and Paul Siler of Ajja, Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand recipients Angela Salamanca and Marshall Davis of Mala Pata (additionally Ex-Voto, Centro, Gallo Pelón and Patty Boy), and Justin Pasfield, a partner in Locals Seafood, Person Street Bar and Natural Science. Nestled on the corner of Brookside Drive and Glascock Street, Big Cat offers a big, delicious time (not to mention cheeky and fun, feline-filled decor) with a dine-in and take-out menu from chef Kumar; a full bar; ample all-season, covered and heated outdoor patio; soft-serve ice cream; and more. Later this spring, the Big Catters will introduce an accessible lunch menu and small-footprint market with killer merch, curated wine & beer, everyday needs for families, and prepared foods to-go, like fresh-pressed juices, grab-n-go mezze, cheese and charcuterie, and assorted sundries and grocery staples.
