A psychedelic meditation was the way I decided to approach my opening set at the Grass Stage, my first festival appearance in Japan, a truly unforgettable experience.
I heard very highly of Festival de Frue, one of the most exquisite gatherings in the country, and the expectations didn’t disappoint the slightest.
Keeping in mind the dream line up for that day, my aim was to set an open mindset for what was to come (sorry for the thunderstorm prank, happy campers), a perfect arc with Ffan, Yamarchy, Mascaras following, and Powder closing the stage. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Returning to Club Seven Bells after a standout night last year. ODOPT is the long-running project of Ivan Maslov and Gregory, now operating between Buenos Aires and Paris. Known for their rugged hardware-driven sound, ODOPT sit somewhere between experimental EBM, twisted house and industrial funk. Releases on Born Free, Hivern Discs, Discos Capablanca, Emotional Especial and Malka Tuti have earned them a reputation for peak-time tracks that refuse big-room formulas. Their newest release lands on SNAKER, alongside a fresh release on Club Blanco, continuing a decade-long run of strange, physical and obsessive dance music. Risky music made to be felt, not explained.
DZ GAS b2b BENJAMIN
DZ GAS links up with Benjamin for a focused, low-slung warm-up and mid-room pressure. Benjamin arrives fresh from Atlanta, where he has curated and hosted some of the city’s most refined minimal and experimental dance nights. This marks his first appearance at Elsewhere since relocating to Bangkok.

If you know me well good chances are you also know Marc Piñol.
Marc is one of my closest friends, and we know each other for a very, very long time.
We’ve made music together as C.P.I, played endless b2b gigs, traveled to numerous places around the world, and even lived together for a few months while recording our first joint album.
But where is Marc?
The reason you haven’t heard from him or about him for quite some time is that he’s been the victim of a long vicious cyber attack, and among many other things, he’s lost access to all his main social accounts (some of his identities were even stolen as his linkedin).
Since he can’t reach out to his lifelong network of friends and professionals, I’m letting you know that he’s looking for a job opportunity ASAP
This attack left him in an extremely fragile economic situation, and it hasn’t been easy for him to rebuild his life since he lost not only contacts and money but also his jobs.

Marc has ample experience in the music industry: booking events (with Primavera Sound), writing for the tech side (Native Instruments), as well as curating specialized playlists (ROVR) and obviously Djing (one of my favorite DJs ever, was resident at Nitsa Club for +20 years, and not only warmed up and closed the night for every possible legend you can imagine, but also posseses a style, taste and technique which are quite frankly rather hard to match.
Marc is currently in Barcelona and willing to listen to all serious job-related proposals; remote positions are welcome, as well as work in other industries if you were to consider him suitable.
A regular job that could help him gain some stability would be most ideal.

Mlin Patz is a solo project of Chillera band member Polina Matskevych (electric guitar), an outlet for her experiments with sound collages, field recordings and dub sound — all accompanied by a warm southern guitar sound
Capablanca - Artist, producer and DJ Hugo Capablanca likes to call himself an “eternal dilettante”, for a reason.
An outsider, definitely, but also a mainstay of the Berlin underground for well over a decade �—now relocated to Lisbon— Hugo has been recently described by some infamous electronic music media as an “underground music hero playing by his own cosmic rules”, and there might be some truth to that.
Over the years Capablanca has extensively toured worldwide, playing regularly in Berlin, NY, Tbilisi, Tokyo… and shared booth with all sort go legendary figures like Andrew Weatherall, Optimo or DJ Marcelle to name a few, yet his name remains a bit of an IYKYK thing.

Next up in our excursion through the various pieces of music comprising Pt.2 of the 10-year anniversary compilation is possibly the album's most abstract track: "E.S.R.H." (an abbreviation of Emotional Support Rabbit Holes) by Banda Magnética, a project arising from the melding of minds (and machines) of two notable figures each with their own established legacies, well certainly in underground subculture circles, namely @capablancas and @mmaterialdeconstruccionn The track inhabits an uneasy space somewhere between musique concrete and improvised experimentalism.
