MATRICARIA2024でのYAMARCHYのセットは、深夜の室内ステージ・LILY DOMEの異形のステージデザインも相まって、多くの参加者の記憶に残る時間になった。
私にとっても、特に印象深いセットのひとつである。
コズミックやバレアリックを根底に持ちながら、アンダーグラウンドを深く掘り下げて集められたオブスキュアなレコードたち。
それらが彼の指先で丁寧に繋がれていくたび、Houseのエネルギーがじわじわとフロアを満たしていった。
フロアと演者の熱量が交錯するように設計されたあの空間で、YAMARCHYのDJとしての力は遺憾なく発揮された。
2019年のオープン以来、渋谷・翠月のレジデント兼ディレクターとして東京の夜をデザインし続ける一方、年間150本ものギグをこなす生粋の現場主義者でもある。
Rainbow Disco Club、FESTIVAL de FRUE、さらにはタイのWonderfruitといった国内外の重要フェスティバルから絶えずオファーを受けているのは、その音の深さと、一晩を完結させる圧倒的な構成力があるからにほかならない。
彼には今回、メインステージ3日目の時間を託した。
花言葉「集う喜び」を体現すべく全力のMATRICARIAを

YAMARCHY’s set at MATRICARIA 2024 was truly unforgettable. Combined with the surreal, otherworldly design of the LILY DOME indoor stage, it remains one of the most striking moments in my memory.
His sound is rooted in Cosmic and Balearic, yet it’s his deep dives into underground, obscure records that set him apart. As he meticulously weaves these tracks together, a raw House energy slowly but surely saturates the dancefloor.
In a space designed for the energy of the crowd and the performer to collide, YAMARCHY’s prowess as a DJ was on full display.
Since 2019, he has been shaping Tokyo’s nightlife as the resident DJ and director of Mitsuki (翠月) in Shibuya. He is a true "player" through and through, clocking in over 150 gigs a year.
The constant stream of offers from major festivals—both in Japan and abroad—including Rainbow Disco Club, FESTIVAL de FRUE, and Thailand’s Wonderfruit, is a testament to the sheer depth of his sound and his unrivaled ability to craft a complete musical journey.
For this edition, we’ve entrusted him with a slot on the Main Stage for Day 3.I am genuinely thrilled to leave MATRICARIA in his hands as we strive to embody our theme, "The Joy of Gathering."
