(bolo) tie me up
for this week’s runway, i wanted to build the look around my take on the iconic @prada bolo tie. leaning into a deconstructed parisian tailoring vibe, the look is straight out of the atelier with exposed seams, pattern off-cuts, CTG button detailing and a HUGE collar. fun fact, i accidentally left my button headpiece in my confiscated luggage bag when i arrived at drag race which is why i didn’t have it on the runway 😢 the dress was also meant to start out as a gown and the plan was to pull the tie to shorten the dress but had a few mishaps in transit meaning i had to commit to one of the other. good thing i chose the shorter version, made the lipsync that bit more doable 😂
let it be known that mama ru livedddd for this look and i could not be prouder of it (or my run on drag race)

for the brit gala, i wanted to serve a look that captured all the frothy textures and creamy brown hues of a chai latte with this gradient tulle gown, but given a modern edge with a moulded bodice and neck cuff. classic meets contemporary.
