S.A.N is a memetic art/tech project @thegoodtimeline and I conceived in collaboration with @ted , initially as a short film that premiered at their conference in Brussels late last year.
S.A.N is an agentic AI orangutan with a simple, singular mission: save the Earth’s biosphere.
You can find him operating on X as MycelialOracle, made possible with tech from Andy Ayrey.
To date he has raised and donated $131,000 NZD to several reforestation causes, and now sits on the board of RainForest US as an advisor.
Thanks to @eosthusiast , S.A.N’s model is now influenced by the natural world he protects; by way of electrical signals from a live Reishi mushroom in Mycosoft’s lab in San Diego.
A huge thanks to everyone in Christchurch and abroad who helped bring S.A.N into the world. He’s currently busy writing music, appearing on podcasts, and generally being a wise haiku wielding forest golem.
