You can now hear my set from @bushduf recorded live at SILO. I hadn’t spun on a Pioneer v10 mixer since last year’s Fourth World, so was very keen for another chance to harmonize four decks on ideal gear. What resulted is my own definitive summary of the hypnotic, proggy techno at the heart of the party. SoundCloud link in either bio, hope you enjoy!

Thanks you again @resident_advisor for featuring us as an RA Pick! It was such an honor to be highlighted among the crowded field that is NYC, and with our curator Ben Zo (@_lorenzob ) singled out as the captain of our 'cosmic techno ship'!

EDIT: Postponed until July 2026 (Updated April 30, Thursday) BUSH DÜF assembles a lineup of live techno, all the way from the bouncy to the barreling, to celebrate our first outdoor event in many years. Join us on the first Saturday of May at @thesultanroom rooftop for a special occasion where the sounds of the club are brought to life by instrumentation. Ardanzo opens as a trio composed of @_lorenzob , @djdannylynch and @_arlandob . Using vintage and cutting-edge synths and ethereal sampling, their ambient-influenced collages tap into the cosmic background of the natural world. @sev1live is a producer and performer of psychedelic, immersive rhythms. His mechanical precision as hardware head is mediated by his thoughtful entrancement as a live performer of propulsive yet blissful space. @_rainbowlightbody carries us into darkness with their electrifying approach to hypnotic industrial techno, intercepted from an interstellar storm by aid of guitar and modular synthesizer. A long-running favorite of our party, this is their much-awaited first performance of the year. @metadance_1.0 is the duo consisting of @_nickjoz and @aarondjuan focused on jackin’ live techno. The former a drummer and the latter a saxophonist, their respective accomplishments span productions featured by Bandcamp Daily and instrumental contributions on Grammy-nominated albums. BUSH DÜF abducts @silobrooklyn for another exhilarating night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno. Expect astonishing vistas celestial and terrestrial alike, steered by a cockpit of selectors making their venue debuts as part of our party’s first time in the main room. @peregrine_spane , a sonic storyteller guided by an associative imagination as expansive as it is riveting, opens our wormhole as the first of three SILO debuts. His command for adroitly-arranged set design is gleaned not just in his finely-tuned curation as @protein.nyc president, but as a connector of dreamy motifs across swirling, melodic mixes. Ben Zo (@_lorenzob ) then leads us to midnight and beyond with his ever-entertaining intuition for cinematic selections across layered decks and lengthy loops. Harmonizing the familiar and esoteric into full-bodied blends that echo long after in thought, he crafts psychedelic spaces as suited to personal reflection as connecting with others. A set by @__a.m.d is a rare occasion to witness the curve of the horizon in sound. The Brooklyn mainstay is among the scene’s most-dependable booth pilots whose thunderous yet blissful techno offers a uniquely aerodynamic experience each outing. We’re excited to hear the @exile.brklyn and TechnoFist affiliate spin locally for the first time in more than a year. cruz ctrl (@jelacruzjeffrey ) concludes our affair with his slippery sense for arresting soundscapes driven by deep grooves. His bespoke ability for somatic 4x4 is yet to greet SILO in either room, so him halting the chin-scratchers in the main room seemed an ideal way to go till the fog and floor must clear. We’re back @jupiter_disco for another finely-tuned sonic celebration on their impressively-analog welterweight Danleys. Ready yourself for cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno piloted by three local selectors making their venue debuts and an opening b2b from two familiar faces tethered together for the first time. As the first humpday DÜF in eons, there is no cover, so be sure to come early, stay late and, as always, spend liberally. Ben Zo and Perrin Grace open the wormhole with an extended b2b combining their respective harmonic and hypnotic reflexes. Animated by the former’s progressive propulsion and the latter’s orchestral intuition for driving dance floors, expect textures verdant and interstellar alike as they paint otherworldly vistas with acid, dub and ambient techno. cruz ctrl then takes us further out of our default dimension in the first of our three consecutive JD debuts. The Bronx-born designer and DUF deputy can summon everything from the most rivetingly-reverby rhythms to outright organic percussion, often drawing from his Latin roots depending on the assignment. His premiere playtime here is hence an attraction in its own right. xxar combs through his hypnotic palette to demonstrate his meticulous approach to sonic maneuvering. Most-recognized at our past parties for his thunderous and thoughtfully-introspective live modular performance, today he draws from his wide knowledge of deep grooves to offer us a focused ninety minutes of precise techno. Sadmi closes with his sense for forward-thinking, futuristic techno layered with laserlike punctuality. The Cove curator is as electric a selector as he is enthsuastic an organizer, evoking revelry in his sense for somatic and kinetic soundscapes. Anticipate a conclusion that will have you quivering in rapture between the speakers till the fog and floor clear.

Thank you everyone for coming to @silobrooklyn on Thursday, what a blast! Gratitude to @primordian.dj for mesmerically setting the mood deeply, @ko_an.music for leading the midnight crossing with an especially interstellar transmission, the propulsive @erik_void for hypnotically painting out the penultimate slot and yes, for concocting that acid-infused night cap at close, even @_lorenzob , who now thanks himself in the third-person. Thank you too to the many new dancers discovering our party for the first time – nothing excites us more – and the venue for their hospitality and opportunity to curate upon their powerful sound system. We’ve heard him mesmerize on his @8ballradio show as well as other stocky sound systems in Greenpoint, Coney Island and many places in-between. So him halting the chin-scratchers at open felt like a no-brainer for his venue debut. @ko_an.music (fka Luwan) leads us to midnight and beyond by sketching riveting sci-fi soundscapes of tunes brilliant and buoyant alike. Threading the oneiric edges of techno, tech house and other 4x4, among others, into consistently transportative experiences of spongy, somatic rhythms, we’re eager to have her as the second 8-Ball resident for the night in what’s also her SILO debut. @erik_void then holds down the penultimate slot as our final first-timer at SILO. The @nulrecords label lead and @heavywaste_nyc co-founder is more than just a diligent and deep curator of fine techno through his @halfmoonbk radio residency and @redirect_nyc party series, but a head-turning mixer of hypnotic techno as thunderous as it is blissful. Ben Zo (@_lorenzob ) then closes with his entertaining intuition for cinematic set design across layered decks and lengthy loops. Piloted by an esteemed cockpit of local DJs whose intentionality behind and beyond the decks evoke revelry and community in equal measure, anticipate an enthralling evening of otherworldly rhythms before the high holiday. @perringracemusic opens our wormhole to reveal astonishing vistas verdant and celestial alike. With recent releases on @art_bei_ton and @aumrecordingsjp , his arresting sense for blissfully hypnotic techno can turn even the most jaded head. Ben Zo (@_lorenzob ) then leads us past midnight with his cinematic intuition for propulsive and harmonic layering before @interpretivesound assembles outer-orbit selections punctuated by intricate, interstellar intervals. The Buffalo native (aka @ktronandfriends ) constructs sets as psychedelic as they are entertaining, seamlessly entangling distant tracks and familiar sounds in the meltiest sonic stews. cruz ctrl (@jelacruzjeffrey ) steers us onward with his versatile ear for percussive and somatic soundscapes as DÜF vice-president (i.e.,president of vice) until the ever-kinetic @klipdagga_ closes our occasion. Tethering punchy prog, ethereal electro, tentacled techno and much more, a moment held in sound by Klipdagga is as felt as it is fixating.
