Ardanzo opens as a trio composed of @_lorenzob , @djdannylynch and @_arlandob . Using vintage and cutting-edge synths and ethereal sampling, their ambient-influenced collages tap into the cosmic background of the natural world. @sev1live is a producer and performer of psychedelic, immersive rhythms. His mechanical precision as hardware head is mediated by his thoughtful entrancement as a live performer of propulsive yet blissful space. @_rainbowlightbody carries us into darkness with their electrifying approach to hypnotic industrial techno, intercepted from an interstellar storm by aid of guitar and modular synthesizer. A long-running favorite of our party, this is their much-awaited first performance of the year. @metadance_1.0 is the duo consisting of @_nickjoz and @aarondjuan focused on jackin’ live techno. The former a drummer and the latter a saxophonist, their respective accomplishments span productions featured by Bandcamp Daily and instrumental contributions on Grammy-nominated albums. abducts some of our favorite acts of the past year for an unmissable night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno @earthlydelights.nyc to ascend your midweek expectations. @_rainbowlightbody opens our wormhole with their explosive and electric experimental techno, intercepted from an interstellar storm by aid of guitar and modular, before the Düfmaster-General himself, Ben Zo, (@_lorenzob ) channels that same energy into a celestial centerpiece in the wake of his @fourthworldnyc debut. @tossdbk organizer @willjackthedj triangulates the percussive and progressive for a thunderous continuation rooted in groovy, rolling techno until lighting legend about-town Violet Flux (@lunarflux_studio ) leads us to midnight and beyond with cosmic crankers that straddle the expressive and the punchy. That the latter two began their long-standing series of collaborations with the party @techtonicsbk and have not shared a lineup, both as selectors, since is a reason all its own to witness them spin in sequence. Last but not least, cruz ctrl (@jeladruzyeffrej ), the newly-announced DÜF vice president (as in, president of vices), brings us to a decisive, unpredictable denouement to keep the chin-scratchers on-edge till the fog and floor must clear. And, as per usual with our little techno party that could, there is no cover, so be sure to come early, stay late and, as always, spend liberally. HAPPY HOUR 6–8PM: The playfully-percussive @therealdrtoof keeps us entertained for the cheapskate’s midnight with gesticulative jungle, pulpy dub and other half-time rollers.

Zarina has made thirteen books that explore how time, memory, and media relate to both personal and collective experience. Each book isolates a fragment—whether it’s a scream, an endless tunnel, or Kylie Jenner—and holds it still, asking not just what it means to linger, but how it feels. ⁣ ⁣ “I hate sitting still, but I’m drawn to the discomfort of it. ⁣ ⁣ This project comes from that discomfort—as most of my inspiration comes from my anxiety—and admittedly from a desire to control it. It reflects my impulse to collect, elongate, and study what can easily slip by unnoticed. I’m interested in how repetition builds weight, how image becomes emotion, how the overlooked becomes legible. Most of these books draw from popular culture, some from my life, but all of them explore the tension between documentation and feeling, nothingness and meaning. ⁣ ⁣ The philosopher Keiji Nishitani describes nihilism as the moment when all inherited meanings fall away—not to leave us empty, but to make space for an understanding of existence that comes from within. In this way, nihilism is an experiment that every person must run for themselves—a rite of passage to be entered, not feared, not avoided, and not stuck in either. Slow Down is an experiment for me: an attempt to sit with the void and see what might surface”
