Setting up film session working with @furrowedsound to get a video together as part of our Tatooing voices project for NIME The International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression… I’ve somehow got in with the academics 😂😂😂 I’m loving how free and easy this music project is … although I didn’t have to write the paper ….. We will perform at The Meeting House at Sussex university on 10th June ❤️

Super EXCITED to be playing at Smugglers Festival this year !! LOOK AT THE LINEUP ( recommend checking out any names you don’t recognise cos they are all gonna be mega !! Cannot recommend this festival more highly!! Always an insanely eclectic and awesome lineup and NO SOUND CLASHES !! Cos it’s curated impeccably by a bunch of excellent musicians ! They also have a record label, booking agency and venue under the same name so check them out if u don’t know them yet ! Her one-woman electro-orchestra blends found sounds, beats, toys, effects pedals, and voice, moving between sweetness and raw power through hook-driven songs, improvised languages, whispers, beatboxing, and layered vocal harmonies. From Castonguay’s intimate, in dark hand-led listening rituals, to BUNTY’s embodied vocal architectures, to Leckey’s high-intensity sonic environments, the programme sits in the tensions and overlaps between performance, club culture, installation, and multi-sensory stimulations. FURROWED RESIDENCY :: night 1 of 2 begins TONIGHT! collaborator spotlight : @ buntylooping Our very own, one-and-only Kassia Zermon, AKA Bunty - yes, she is Creative Director here at The Rose Hill but she also wears a plethora of other artistic hats. A multi disciplinary artist and vocal looping pioneer alongside the likes of @skshlomo , beard man and dub FX, Bunty is best known for her pioneering underground experimental vocal loop shows and fronting UK leading Dub act @resonatorsmusic . Bunty’s powerful one woman orchestra combines her love of sound art & sound systems with her West London and North African roots to create unique and expansive music. What a TREAT! and if you thought that wasn't enough, Jules Arthur - our other creative director and incredible muso in his own right (see @moulettesband + @mcdizraeli + @nimzostudio project with @leedwestwood , amongst many others) will also be joining on piano. It's been a while since these two have been able to perform together, what with running a multi-space arts hub and bringing up the bambinos... could it be since their band le juki (?!) - for those who remember their avant-glitch-folk trio with Lee Westwood (album on bandcamp, yo!). It’ll be very spesh indeed.
