This is the present, the future is just around the corner. On that note, it has been marvelous spending the last few months in the South, creating alongside beautiful people at McColl Center and sharing with the lovely community of Charlotte. Thank you all who hadn't minded being my playmates for a while, it's been a joy. Well, if anybody wants to sing (last slide), you know where to find me! Until next time š
When I was in Joshua Tree last year, someone casually mentioned how millions of years ago Mojave Desert was a vast sea, and for the following two months I could not unsee it. All of this nonsense, in the end, is for such a brief flicker of existence.

Another year around the sun. The year it started to become a real struggle not to lose all hope for future and not to drift into nihilistic doomism. The year I constantly moved around. The year I got to play together with some of my favorite people, on some wicked landscapes around the world. The year I spent too much time in California and ended up developing feelings for it. The year, like previous years, I went to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone but chickened out and rode the Wonder Wheel instead. The year I got my very first pair of cowboy boots. The year I overcame my snake phobia and became friends with a few redwood trees. The year I came across a fossilized dinosaur poop. The year I reconnected with my beloved sea. The year I began to appreciate cats even more, as if it was possible. It was another year around the sun.
Last week in the high desert šµstaying in the cutest little temporary home ever, lots and lots and LOTS of hopping on the rocks like a mountain goat, playing together with some extraordinary movement artists and beautiful new friends, making a colorful mess as usual, and playing a cowgirl for a minute :) Apart from constantly checking the ground for rattlesnakes and scorpions, I will miss everything about this place! Until next time JT š

Concerned with belonging in constantly changing realities, @mayparlar ās work builds links between time, place, memory and the self. Her performances explore the human condition and the nomadic experience of ābeingā that are perpetually constructed and deconstructed by movement. Her visual narratives playfully delve into her own existence and selfhood. Parlarās body, often included in her recorded performances, installations, and land-work becomes an object for discussing human experience, alienation, belonging, authenticity, and temporality of the self.
It was a windy day so I got to observe my curtains' passionate love affair from the beginning to the end. The poor things push & pull each other so much, clearly neither has a secure attachment style ;) ( Just casual playing while at home sick )
We are sailing to the unknown collectively, yet I am quiet optimistic this time. Letās see what comes out of the water after this storm passes. Bring it on 2022! Happy New Year to All!
