Beyond our successful outing at @londonfilmfestival BFI 2024, we are thrilled to share that @the.weekend.film will continue its international film festival tour across the UK and US in the coming weeks.

What an incredible journey this film has had! I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share The Weekend with a global audience. A massive congratulations to the cast and crew for making this possible.
This weekend, we hosted the first edition of The Write Good Workshopâa space where screenwriters honed their craft, connected with other storytellers, and transformed ideas into sharp loglines and fully structured outlines. From over 70 applications, we selected nine writers whose personal statements reflected not just ambition but a belief in what this experience could unlock for them.
What surprised us was how much they unlocked in us. In a matter of hours, strangers became collaborators, weaving together stories that felt urgent, real, and deeply personal. It was a reminder of how powerful creativity becomes when nurtured through communityâproof that great storytelling is never a solo act.
We gave them a rope, and they didnât just run with itâthey spun it into something unexpected, something extraordinary, each thread carrying the weight of their unique voices.
A special thank you to @buccifranklin and @shine_rosman who took time out of their packed schedules to offer feedback. For writersâwho so often wrestle alone with their thoughtsâinsight from those who read and perform scripts daily is an immeasurable gift. Your input was the final touch that elevated the entire day.
In every way, this workshop wasnât just about storytellingâit was creativity in motion, unfolding right before our eyes. And this is only the beginning. We canât wait to share what comes next.

I am beyond excited and deeply honored to announce that @the.weekend.film , recently recognized as the highest-nominated film in the history of @amaawards_ , has been officially selected to screen at the prestigious @leedsfilmfest (LIFF)!
LIFF, held annually in Leeds, West Yorkshire, is the largest film festival in England outside of London and a true celebration of global cinema. We are thrilled that The Weekend will be featured in the Fanomenon section, known as the home of cult and fantasy cinema at the festival. This section showcases a dynamic range of new genre films, cult documentaries, animated features, and rarely-seen classics.
Screening The Weekend in this incredible lineup is a dream come true, and I am immensely grateful for the recognition and support from the festival. We can't wait to share our film with the vibrant LIFF audience!
