Still trying to process this… it honestly feels unreal that you’re gone, IKUKU! 💔🕊️
@alexxekubo
I remember meeting you in Abuja during the very early years of my career, 8 years ago on a movie set directed by Sir
@robertopeters , when I was still trying to find my feet in this industry. I was already so grateful just to be on the same set with you, someone I had watched and admired for years. But beyond the fame and star power, you were genuinely cool, welcoming and kind to me.
You didn’t just say hello and move on… you spoke to me about the industry, gave me career advice, encouraged me, and even told me I should seriously consider moving to Lagos if I truly wanted to grow in Nollywood. Those conversations stayed with me.
For someone already established, you still made young actors around you feel seen, comfortable and inspired. That kind of spirit is rare.
Your death is honestly unbelievable. It hurts deeply knowing someone so full of life, light and presence is suddenly gone. Nollywood has lost a bright light, and many of us have lost someone whose talent, words and kindness became part of our journey.
Rest well, king. Thank you for the advice, the laughter, the warmth and the inspiration.
May your soul rest in perfect peace, IKUKU. 🕊️💔
