Viscoelastic Stone is a collection of lamps in which we play with two different types of natural stone: onyx, a semi-precious stone, and volcanic rock. Through them we wanted to convey the idea that onyx is a relatively soft material. The volcanic rock rests on it giving the impression to be hollowed out under its weight, as if it were a mattress. There is also a game of contrasts between textures and colours: the onyx, similar to marble, translucent, smooth and veined, against the volcanic stone, opaque, porous and entirely black. They are visually very plastic, very organic.
