So…this just happened. MFA! I’m so very grateful to NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Dance Department where I’ve just completed their new two year, full-time grad program for Dance/Interdisciplinary Research. Woah. There is no way to summarize this life affirming experience, or properly thank all of my colleagues and professors who propelled me in this post. I’ve encouraged students so many times to trust an unconventional path in dance. This has been a dose of my own medicine! My self-directed research found me coding and programming interactive digital projects at ITP and the Tandon School of Engineering, not to mention the expansive world of artists and scholars I’ve been introduced to or had the privilege of reading about at Tisch and the Department of Art and Public Policy. This has been a dream for a very long time and I truly appreciate the support from everyone that helped. My colleagues and cohort! We’re only the second graduating class- @donnadancediary@sorzanodanceworks and see you soon @hellobethgill 🩵 Dance Chair and MFA Director @pamela.pietro My inspired Thesis Advisor @amzrpg and the esteemed artists and professors @rikkimove@betsycoker_dancescience Jeremy Nelson, Luis Lara, cari ann shim sham, @angellaellaella and Andy Tierstein @nyutischdance A whole new world.
