One of the coolest projects I’ve been working on lately is a documentary about the late, great drummer Alan White with rock n’ roll documentarian @_michaelmcmorrow . Alan was the drummer for Yes and for John Lennon. This photo is with Jon Anderson, the lead singer for Yes. We spent a couple hours talking about Alan, working with the Beatles, smoking weed with Robert Plant, and the magic of creating music with your best friend. This was one of my all time favorite interviews to shoot.
#1 - 8 years ago on this day, we posted this video on YouTube as a way to share it between myself and my partner (too big for email!!) after capping off our beloved 4-year partnership with a souvenir that would last and a memorable moment at our favorite place to social dance, surrounded by friends and fellow dancers, before I moved to NYC.

It also got me an audition for America’s Got Talent @americasgottalentagt , an opportunity to teach at the amazing @tarangstudio with the one-of-a-kind @jhinuk1 in India, and it unknowingly helped me woo my husband-to-be 😉 @0riono .

The Painted Hills of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Volcanic ash that was filled with iron fell in this area 33 million years ago. Over time, as the iron oxidizes, it rusts and turns the red color you see in the hills. As climate change continues with heavy rain storms, eventually, the red will slide down to the bottom and the hills will be left just yellow.
Every night in Austin, TX, 1.5 million bats wake up under the Congress Ave Bridge and come out to eat. These bats are Mexican free-tailed bats and are the largest bat colony in America and the largest urban bat colony in the world. This year the bats migrated to the bridge earlier than normal, most likely because of warming temperatures and climate change.
There is no more effective way to transform lives than through education. Recently, I spent some time on an island in Kenya shooting a documentary about education for @kageno_worldwide . In preparation for their 20 year Harambee 09/27/23 in #NYC, the film will help raise funds to continue their education and feeding programs in Kenya & Rwanda.
