Around this time two years ago, we took a big, scary, leap of faith. Although our move was a long time coming, packing our life into boxes and loading a moving truck felt surreal. After a teary-eyed final walk-through, we handed over the keys and said goodbye to the neighbourhood we lived in for over a decade.
Around this time two years ago, we hugged family and friends extra tight and said lots of “I love you” and “we’ll keep you posted”. We drove a truck of our belongings cross-country and we boarded flights from YYZ to LAX.
Around this time two years ago, we felt excitement, overwhelm, pangs of sadness, and joy. Periodically we would shout, “IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!”
Well, it happened. And we’re here.
