i tinkered with the idea of adding a song to soundtrack this video collage. and as i listened back more and again more i realized there is already music, there is already a song, it is a song sung by the collective voice of community. a community in bloom! if you will. (âtwas the theme of the exhibit.)
conversation coated the room like waves of joy sound. and it was delightful. so many great artists of all varieties gathering in a space, that makes you have belief in a world where people look out for each other and celebrate each other and lift each other up.
homebase, a skate-shop, clothier, nostalgia shop, museum of pop culture, art gallery, is a space that celebrates people. and theyâve been housing lehigh valley artist meet up (lvam) art exhibits.
keep an eye out to participate! i hear a form is being made to sign up! and also come on out to see and support and be inspired!

I was so busy hosting the art show that I didnât get the chance to take a single photo on my camera! But I was able to make a message drop box with the question, âwhat are you grateful for?â. The first slide is just a taste of what everyone shared. This is why we do it.
Thank you to everyone who came by the shop to support all of the amazing artists & creatives here for âA Community in Bloomâ. Thank you @lvartistmeetup@brandonalwayscreates for always putting these together with me & @hues_of_bluez for joining us on the graveyard shift to hang everything. The next group show is in June and we already canât wait!
These posts & the art shows might come and go, but the impact we make on each otherâs lives inside these four walls will live on forever. Thatâs what Iâm grateful for. This weekend feels like a story out of a book I didnât even realize I was reading. I donât want to sound like a broken record- but thank you to everyone who supports @homebase610 I hope you know without you, there is no us.

This one is extremely personal, I love paintings hands it's a way to visually explain the physical aspect of our experiences and existence, what we feel, touch or come in contact with in our lives!

Join us & leave a piece of you to live at the shop. Everyone is welcome to bring their art to slap up on our walls- collage style! If you donât have anything ready, artists @brandonalwayscreates & @lavalampbebop will be here prepped with all of the supplies youâll need to get on the wall.
If you canât make it on Saturday, weâll be accepting drop offs for any stickers/slap ups and anything in between starting tomorrow that way everyone can contribute.
