What We Share is a process-driven workshop centered on artistic connection through collaborative creation. Rooted in Still Inspired’s practice, dancers engage with visual art not only as inspiration, but as a shared language between artist and mover.
Through guided improvisation and composition led by Artistic Director Laura Thurston and Co-Producer Brian Hare, participants explore color, texture, composition, and artistic intention within the work of Holly Cahill. Dancers investigate how meaning can be translated, embodied, and reimagined through their own movement vocabulary and lived experience. Prior to entering the creative process, Cahill will share insight into her work and artistic practice, creating a deeper exchange between visual art, dance, and shared humanity.

Trip Of A Lifetime (T.O.A.L.T)
Clearly I am behind…
Summer 2025 we took a trip with my Dad and Jayne to the top of the world. Literally.
We crossed the 80th parallel into the marginal ice zone on an icebreaker ship.
Explored Oslo, Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland.
Saw the World Seed Bank.
Walked on floating ice, inside a volcano and a glacier.
Bathed in natural volcanic hot springs.
Saw Polar Bears, walrus’, puffins and whales.
There was also lots of wine, martinis and what could be considered a toxic level of competitive euchre.
Waterfalls, Polar Bears and a lot of ice will be forthcoming.
I turned 40 in February.
Not on my Insta game these days.
Apparently that is a thing that happens.

Long over due gratitude post.
In April I came out of my pseudo retirement. And I couldn’t be happier I did. I got to dance with some incredible people. And even got to riff a story about Chapstick, laundry, and the process of getting older. That’s right… Braeden gave me a mic. Can’t promise it makes any more sense than it sounds.

It’s that time of year again. And it couldn’t have come at a better time. Though a few weeks late.
Happy 6th anniversary of this absurd thing I make @b__64 do with me every year.
This year the other Barnes, @amaraleebarnes joined in the shenanigans. Why? Because Braeden is one of the very few people who could get me out of concert Dance retirement for a full show.
