42 days of walking and the experience of a lifetime. 779 km and almost 500 miles of a journey that began as a possibility and ended with all things are possible. Santiago de Compostela may have been the destination but in truth it is a new beginning. If I had the words I would use them but for now……
We are getting closer and closer to Santiago. With only about 135 miles of the 500, to walk, we have mixed emotions. There is no question the journey so far has been life changing. It will be interesting to see how that manifests itself in our lives at home. Missing home and family. We’ve just finished a rest day in Ponferrada and will head out tomorrow with having had a relaxing day, a good sleep and for Steve a replacement of his hiking shoes(he walked the tread off of his). Buen Camino!!
Happy Birthday to Nicole Hare Bass, the one that that really got the ball rolling! You are a very special daughter, sister, wife and mom but your soul is what makes this world a better place. Now that you have your own you might almost know how much I love you. Have a great day!!!
Say hello to Carson Ross Burch! He arrived a few weeks early on 2-6, at 18.5”, 5 lbs., 12 oz. He, mom and dad are doing great and Steve and I are thrilled that he is our lucky #7. Grandkids are a joy that is hard to describe.
Happy 13th Birthday to our sweet Foxy Red Roxy!!! Every day with her is a gift. She ate her pumpkin and peanut butter muffin in one bite so no chance for a picture.
We are so excited that our 7th grandchild( 4th grandson) will be here in February. We are so grateful for all that life has given us and even more proud of our children and the lives they are forging for themselves. The grandchildren - cousins - nieces and nephews, are a bonus for all of us and the ties that bind us forever.
