The story continues through their strength and persistence. As a first time Director, I’m truly floored by the reception of this project. WHEN THE SKY TURNED ORANGE A film dedicated to our beloved Altadena 🌹 I’m elated to share that my directorial debut will be having its world premiere at the Academy Qualifying Pan African Film Festival @paffnow Read more on the project on @deadline Thank you to the Jordan Brand Black Community Commitment team and my family at @colorcreative for trusting me to create and capture this story. When the fires broke out, I watched friends and family lose everything. It broke my heart and damaged my spirit in a way that I had never felt before. I felt lost and angry…and I needed something to do with that energy. This project is a result of that energy. I watched members of my community stand up immediately in response to the Eaton Fire by way of collecting and distributing relief resources to those impacted within 24 hours of the fires and then spend their entire 2025 fighting for ways to continue that work, help Altadena residents, and keep our community together. THE STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE OF THESE HEROES OF MY CITY NEEDS TO BE BROADCAST TO THE WORLD. @bdlamar @mswhite3250 @missjuicylittle @pastorkerwin @wolfofdena @flintridgecenter YOU CHANGED AND SAVED LIVES. Cats out of the bag! What If?… In Living Color 2.0! One day I got a call from @mayacryor that she was looking for a Director of Photography for a huge project, and little did I know that it would introduce me to some of the hardest working talent and filmmakers of our generation to take on reviving one of the most culturally impactful TV Series in Comedy.
