Today is my birthday but my heart is so broken. Last week, my best friend tragically and unexpectedly passed away 2 weeks after her 38th birthday. We first met on her 18th bday so I want to dedicate this post as a tribute to my bestest girl Andrea Desirey Collins aka Drea aka my DreDre aka Yeayuh aka Dreyoncé aka my BMFF and BBG4L.
Our friendship was everything to me. Literally. 20 years of so many beautiful core memories and laughter. She was more than my best friend, she was my sister. Look, I love all my friends but there was nobody like her. She was 1 of 1. If you knew me intimately then you knew about our special bond.
Drea was the life of every party. Singing and dancing her heart out no matter where we were or who we were with. That infectious laugh. Jokes for days. She always made me feel like I belonged even though I can’t dance or sing. It didn’t take long before my cuzzos became her cousins. My Aunties became her Aunties. My Mom loved her like her own. Zoey was her niece and Deja was her sister, too. She called us her other family and she undeniably was a part of ours. She was authentically herself in every moment of her life and it was impossible not to love her. In our friendship group, she was our glue. Our sparkle. She was a proud Daddy’s girl and an amazing big sister to her four siblings. But most importantly, she was an incredible Mother to her daughter Carsyn who was her greatest joy and the love of her life.
There are so many Drea-isms that I’m never going to let go of and vocabulary that I’m adding to my repertoire just to hold her a little closer. On her birthday this year (3/4), she stayed with me and Lauren while she spent two days at her favorite place on earth: Disneyland. I’ll forever cherish our final moments and conversations. Somehow, I feel like God wanted me to be able to celebrate her life with her one last time in the physical before I lost her forever. I will honor and celebrate her everyday for the rest of my life and I hope to find her again in the next. I’m grateful for our once in a lifetime friendship and will always love her so so deep. Thank you for everything, my DreDre. Until we meet again…

The Cult of the Real Housewife has been a top 10 series on HBO Max since its premiere last week and the online commentary this story has sparked has been wild and fascinating! So much I have to say on some of these responses… but I promised Lauren that I’ll keep quiet and stay entertained. Lol
So for now I just want to say that I’m grateful for this incredible team who I got to work with on this and killed it in every way!! There’s two sides to every story and I’m thankful this show allowed a chance for these folks to tell theirs.
Also, not only did I get to EP this but I volunteered to be the BTS photographer as well 😜.
Have you watched it yet?
This felt like the best after Thanksgiving post especially after this morning’s workout! 😅 It’s been 3 years, 4 months and I’m still going strong… I show up only 3x per week and the results keep adding up.
Thank you @inglewood.fit for creating this community and space to get right. It’s never too late to start prioritizing your health!!! 💪🏽🙏🏽🏋🏽♀️
ps. if you live in Inglewood, come join me! 😉 They have a free intro class!

I don’t even watch Housewives but knew this would be a helluva story to tell and one that I would personally devour as someone who watches docs almost every night.
The Cult of The Real Housewife airs Jan 1st on TLC and all three episodes drop the next day on Max. Can’t wait to read these Reddit threads after!! 😭🙈😩
Executive Produced by me 🙋🏽♀️ & Talos Films.

Thank you @msdeniese for your brilliance! 💫
Producing isn’t something you do alone, it’s something you build in community.
That’s the purpose behind The Playbook Live Sessions: monthly live, interactive office hours where you can bring your projects, roadblocks, or new ideas and get direct feedback from Deniese Davis.
Whether it’s general career advice or questions about the business of Hollywood, each session is a chance to get clarity, refine your process, sharpen your instincts, and keep moving your body of work forward.
Because producing isn’t theory, it’s action.
