Some messy WIP pics of a retrofit project of a 1930’s semi detached house in Cambridge. Reclaimed sports hall floor boards installed by Pica Flooring over airtightness membrane and UFH between joists. Lovely new triple glazed windows by Velfac, all tightly taped around. ASHP and PVs already on the roof. Might need to rethink wall colours… Ramble on!

Happy to share that our scheme for 14 flats above ground floor workshops in LB of Lambeth has been submitted for planning. The massing of the corner site (first photo) is split between the high street (right) and an industrial area (left), balancing between civic life and labour. The flats will enjoy generous access decks and a first floor playground over the workshops (second photo) and wintergardens facing the street. The ground floor will provide a flexible workspace for small local companies, supporting the council’s plans to form a creative cluster on the edge of the KIBA. Visuals by talented @deadnettlestudio

Fantastic news that 51-53 Argyle street was shortlisted for the @riba east region awards! The two terrace houses replaced a car repair garage in a conservation area. A little geeky celebration of materials, colour and geometry on the back of #11FRcamb bringing together local character, daylight and a sense of heaviness. More photos of this retrofit, decarbonisation and extension of a periodic house coming soon. #cambridgearchitecture
