Weāre funding projects to support the mental health of our communities! š§
Laburnum Boat Club is a long-standing voluntary organisation in Hackney, which helps people build confidence and wellbeing through water-based activities.š£
Every Friday, it runs a narrow boat trip for people with mental health challenges, offering the chance to connect and relax.
The Council funds the trip through the Hackney Community Fund - money collected from developers when they secure planning permission, which supports impactful community initiatives.
We love seeing the difference the Boat Club is making to peopleās lives. š š
