Though she hasn't performed with ABT in five years, between the pandemic and becoming a mother, it will mark the end of 25 years with the renowned ballet company. It is not a retirement, she insists, but a release-a letting go of an institution that both elevated and constrained her. "What I'm trying to make clear, which I feel like hasn't been clear, is that I'm not retiring," she says. "This is the end of ABT for me. But I want to continue performing in some capacity."
