OLIVIA RODRIGO RISES ⭐ With over 46 million monthly listeners, two multiplatinum records, and three Grammys, @OliviaRodrigo was already on her way to being deemed the voice of a generation. Then, with the release of her first single ‘drop dead’ and officially becoming the first artist in history to debut the lead single from their first three albums at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, she cemented her status. Now, her Livies (and the world) eagerly await the release of her third studio album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.’ She’s also just a girl preoccupied with everything typical of a 23-year-old, like decoding her crush’s zodiac sign or accepting that she doesn’t have it all figured out yet. Who better to interview Olivia than someone who knows her as both a global pop star and a real friend? Enter @MadisonHu , Olivia’s closest confidant (and a Columbia University creative writing graduate) who sat down with the Cosmopolitan Summer 2026 cover star for her first in-depth interview since her album announcement. Catch up with Olivia about her new album, what she’s learned about love, and her goals for the future at the link in bio. “With this album, I actually was like, ‘I’m done with the sophomore one. Now I can have fun again.’” On April 2, there was a shift. Not because of the (spookily coincidental but unrelated) pink moon the night before but because @oliviarodrigo announced that her third studio album, ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,’ would finally be dropping on June 12. After a mysterious wall in L.A. slowly turned from purple to pink over 3 weeks, the release of the cover signaled once and for all that this era would be a major shift away from those single word album titles and her deep-purple aesthetic. “There was so much more joy in the songwriting,” Olivia explains to @MadisonHu , who interviewed her for Cosmopolitan’s Summer 2026 cover story. “There are some songs that are plain old sad but also some songs that are just plain old fun.” For more on OR3 and how Olivia approached writing the record, head to the link in bio. Happy 40th birthday to THE bombshell whose posters are still on our walls @meganfox ! 💋 It would be criminal for us to not commemorate the occasion by throwing it back to her iconic October 2009 Cosmo cover story, would it not? Photos: Cliff Watts

The concept of @connorstorrieofficial , @davidjonsson__ , AND @gracieabrams in a movie together...this is major for me! Another week in the bag, and can you believe how fast May is flying by? I suppose we can partially credit that to the fact that there is so much pop culture news that keeps us busy 24/7. Just swipe through to see everything you might have missed within the past seven days. Whether you need mail in abortion pills or not, it's time to pay attention to how the government is making decisions about our bodies. On Thursday May 14, the Supreme Court ruled that the abortion pill mifepristone would continue to be available through mail delivery and without the need for a doctor’s appointment. This is a win for everyone fighting for people's right to choose, but, most of all, for the people in need of this life-saving healthcare. Earlier this month, a federal appeals court banned the drug from being mailed, saying it should only be obtained after an in-person appointment with a medical professional who could prescribe it. If SCOTUS did not get involved, this would have significantly impacted the most common way people have abortions. In 2023, more than 60% of abortions came through abortion pills. The fight isn’t over, though. Officials in Louisiana, who first moved to restrict mifepristone’s access through mail and telemedicine, are still working to limit its availability. The debate will likely end up back in front of SCOTUS in the future. But until then, we’re just glad they got this one right. For more on this ruling and how to access the pill, head to the link in bio.
