Ever thought of "Love Like You" as a duet? 🤍🩷 Vocals by @advika.music and @ejtheloser ! ✨ The lyrics from both "Love Like You" from Steven Universe and "Everything Stays" from Adventure Time, woven together, speak to a deep-seated fear I've always had—impostor syndrome. The lines, "I wish that I knew what makes you think I'm so special?" echo a struggle that almost kept this project hidden. We recorded this live in one take at midnight in Berklee’s Shames Family Scoring Stage. The atmosphere was special. After the COVID restrictions lifted and we finally got to return to campus, the competitive traditions of Berklee seemed to soften. It's an homage to my partner, an expression of gratitude to Rebecca Sugar, and a nostalgic look back at my friends from Berklee who are now scattered across the globe, each making their own mark. Hyper-Pop with the energetic @bobalobalee ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Boba, the electronic maven, crafts sonic narratives through cutting-edge technology. A tireless inventor, Boba wields self-designed software to morph vocals into a mesmerizing tapestry of harmonies, layered with morphing beats and avant-garde soundscapes. Armed with a jazz percussionist background spanning 15 years and an unwavering passion for HyperPop, Boba’s live performances defy categorization, seamlessly blending mainstream allure with experimental innovation. He will be debuting his Malaysian show with his invention the XEON. This machine uses synth engines from Opal, a virtual drum machine by Fors, a Swedish company who makes the best MaxForLive synths, ‘claims the artist’. The vocal transformer exploits everything that ‘Manipulator’ by ‘Infected Mushrooms’ can offer. He will be based in the USA for the next few years, so this may be the last time he will be performing in Malaysia for a while.
