Sustainability made simple with plastic-free formulas⨠In the earliest days of building Blueland, we realized that single-use plastic packaging is prevalent in the cleaning products industry because so many of the formulas are liquid. For example, traditional cleaning sprays are often over 90% water. We wondered if we could make products in dry formats, which would allow us to package them in industrially compostable paper.â¨â¨We couldnât be more proud to offer a range of cleaning products in tablet and powder forms. Weâve removed water from our formulations resulting in smaller, lighter products that not only eliminate the need for single-use plastic packaging, but also drastically reduce the carbon footprint of shipping these products đ¤đ

New Yorkâs Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act (PRIAA) (A1492/S1492) would require companies to cut packaging waste at the source, not just recycle it.
On Monday, Team Blueland went to the NY State Capitol to advocate for this bill and show that itâs possible to build a brand thatâs both profitable and sustainable. We were shocked, but not surprised, to be the only consumer brand present in support of PRIAA.

Because for decades, the burden of plastic waste has been put on us as recycling, and itâs time companies did their part to reduce unnecessary plastic packaging before it become waste âťď¸
