We’ve created this imagery by combining strong visual concepts with performative figures of ‘life voyagers’ to serve as an evocative metaphor for the ‘Breathe, Walk, Die’ performance co-hosted by ADE and Rijksmuseum. Through the movement of light, bodies, and the camera, we choreographed three distinct chapters of the video, weaving together an experience that's nuanced and emotionally gripping. Breathing, growing, expanding, exploring spaces, walking confident or lost, finding light, dancing in shadows, dying — exploring these theme with my collaborators is always a journey — we make it deep and we keep it playful. Seven years ago Konduku's first release Kıran came out. The album was a debut record that became a defining release in our catalogues. A big thank you to Blitzkickers for capturing that moment in time where we made the album cover together with the other label artists on a patch of grass behind the Clone record shop in our hometown of Rotterdam As the time flies by we are grateful for having reminders like these in our lives. LATEST WORK 🎥 Performance trailer for MAT, a Dutch-Flemish modern circus institution @tentcircus It was a pleasure to work with @hannekekijkt and @ruthverraes and all the performers were poets in motion. @steijn_leijzer and I honoured their artistry with moody lighting, precise camerawork and editing, and subtly dramatic colour grading by @matthias.color For me, this project was more than just a cinematic endeavour; it was an exploration of what it means to be human. COMPLETED 🎯 Dear friends, we are raising funds for a Ukrainian war veteran, Oleksii Katolyk, to support his reintegration to civilian life through specialised auto mechanic training - please help us to reach 1,100 EUR / 50,000 UAH to cover training costs. Oleksii served in the hot zones during 2014 and 2022 war conflicts in Ukraine. But he is also a father of three children. After being demobilised due to difficult family circumstances, he did not receive any benefits or support from the state. Like many Ukrainian veterans, he faces significant challenges in returning to civilian life. But he has a dream —  to become a skilled auto mechanic specialising in paintless dent repair. Currently, Oleksii is a certified instructor for veteran rehabilitation at the charitable organisation Superhumans, which specialises in helping military personnel and civilians affected by the war. He works using the “peer-to-peer support” method, where those with shared life experiences help other veterans to get through their difficulties. However, this is volunteer work, and Oleksii makes a living as a taxi driver. The cost of training for Oleksii is 50,000 UAH (1,100 EUR), and with our support, he can take the first step towards a stable future. This training will not only help him rebuild his life but also enable him to assist other veterans who are also searching for a new professional path after the war. There are countless opportunities to donate, so why choose this one? While we encourage you to support many causes, this goal has the power to transform the life of one veteran and his family. It ensures stability for a man who has served on the front lines and continues to serve by providing for his three children. Excited to be back at @wakinglife.pt with our performance, ‘Transformation Cave’, and a new film, ‘Breathe, Walk, Die’ 🌻

Enjoyed discussing my deliberate editing choices at last night’s @cinedans screening and Q&A, such as breaking the hypnotic feel by including moments right before or after the action, when real people, not just characters, walk off the frame cracking a smile (watch until the end of the reel). It was really great sharing my insights into production, scenography, and editing. 🎬 👀 All the love to Cinedans for launching Physical Culture into the European festival circuit! Since its premiere, the film has been shown in Ireland, Portugal, Greece, Spain, and more in The Netherlands! And this year, Cinedans brought together a strong program for the International Short Film Competition. What an honor to be among talented filmmakers who inspire us to experience the world through physical movement and express ourselves through the body! In June, we wowed the crowd with 4 alchemagical shows of Blooming at Waking Life in Portugal! 🌳 “Be the tree you wanna be, yeah!” we all chanted at the end while raving to DJ Heartstring’s tunes. And guess what? The grand finale was an unscripted dash to the lake for a naked swim! 🌊 That’s how we roll! 💕 🤳filmed with consent of the audience

I wrote this raw monologue for Majon, and oh boy, did she perform it with heart-wrenching intensity! 💔 This collaboration is our first as a creative duo, and debuting it at Waking Life feels like winning the universe lottery! 💫 The performance’s name keeps morphing, but for now, it’s Blooming 🌸 We explore soft body edges, negotiate boundaries, embrace vulnerability through moving together, and dressing up the audience as playful creature in costumes designed by @myownbymajon 🧚‍♀️ We are planning shows in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, but for now slide into my DMs or drop a comment if you want a personal heads-up! 🌳 Filmed with consent of the audience Music ID @rivalconsoles — Recovery Show highlights and full credits will land on my website soon—keep your eyes peeled! 👀
