“Taryn Blake is very familiar with the look and feel of a cookie cutter wedding… She has no desire to follow the herd in producing more of them.”
When I saw this line written about me in a Forbes article, it felt like time stopped for a minute… they get me. They see it. That’s all I could think.
In a world of perfectly curated feeds and websites with weddings in the same color palette, being a planner who designs all over the place can feel challenging.
Who does it relate to? Can the couple actually see their wedding here? What is our signature style?
The longer I do this, the more I’ve realized that I don’t want a style… it’s never supposed to be about our style anyway, right? I want our style to be a feeling instead.
Where your wedding day just feels like you.
And if that means we design 55 very different weddings and our portfolio is an eclectic mix of vibes and aesthetics, then so be it. It’s authentic. It’s you. It’s us.
As silly as it sounds, seeing my name in an article titled “Seven innovative entrepreneurs revolutionizing the wedding industry” gave me the permission to just keep doing things my way….. and it’s worked out 🤍
But that opening line? That one stays with me. That one is who we are.
—— that’s my #fridayintroductions - can you drop me a comment and introduce yourself too? So many new faces around here and I am so grateful for you! ——
