This month and every month, we celebrate and honor all of you 💫 We grew up in the stretch of living between worlds, not always sure which way is “ours”. Our name and brand is meant to represent that. Now that we’ve found our community, we’re doing the work that we hope will inspire belonging for generations to come ♥️

@SceneTraveller : Somewhere between work and rest, between cities and selves, there’s a kind of space that rarely gets formalised. It’s where ideas are still fragile, where friendships are not yet named, and where creative people try to make sense of what they’re building and why. Cultural collective Shams Club’s upcoming retreat in Palm Springs, taking place from May 31st to June 3rd, is an attempt to hold exactly that space, deliberately and without overstatement, for Arab creatives from around the world. Co-founded by Yasmine Rasool and Lena Khouri, Shams Club was built to bridge the gap between the Arab world and its diaspora by creating an environment where creatives can come together, exchange ideas, and build on their own terms. Through a mix of guided workshops, one-on-one sessions, wellness practices, city explorations, and open conversations with figures who have helped shape the industry—including contributors from YouTube MENA—the retreat helps participants build their brand and make the connections they need to sustain it. Within this shared world, thoughtful touches are sprinkled throughout the experience: meals by a private chef, bottles of Ya Albi olive oil, sweets from BEHAVE, daily meditation sessions, skincare by Adipeau and Nazuk Beauty, dental essentials from ARAME, sartorial pieces from KOTN, and, perhaps the most precious thing of all, the time to let your ideas breathe into something more defined. The creative retreat—which you can sign up for until May 15th—is also designed with follow-through in mind: you get to leave with a clear 30, 60, and 90-day plan, ongoing support from Shams Club, and a network of creatives that can help shape what you’re building long after you’ve left Palm Springs. The film “A Sad and Beautiful World,” directed by @cyrilaris , follows Nino and Yasmina across decades of uncertainty as they navigate love, belonging, and the weight of constant change, quietly capturing the ways love and loss exist side by side in Lebanon. As the title suggests, this story truly is so beautiful and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It felt touching, heartbreaking at times, relatable, and reminded us how powerful our connection to each other really is. The film will be releasing in theaters this summer - we highly recommend a watch 🤍

“This project, ‘You Are What You Eat,’ is my return to identity as a Palestinian, beyond the scrutiny of the world. The closest I’ve ever felt to my homeland, beyond geography” @rimarokh In “You Are What You Eat,” Rima explores identity as something lived and carried through the everyday. Tracing memory, culture, and inheritance through food, the project reflects how what we consume connects us to where we come from. Rooted in Palestinian elements like pomegranate, olives, dates, figs, oranges, and eggplant, it becomes a quiet reflection on diaspora, belonging, and identity.

Shams Club is back with another Creative Retreat in Palm Springs from May 31 to June 3, bringing together a curated group of entrepreneurs, creatives, and founders for a 3-night experience designed to help you gain clarity, build strategy, and elevate your work. Set in a beautiful home near Joshua Tree, the retreat includes hands-on workshops focused on marketing, pitching, and growth, chef-prepared meals, and intentional time to connect, reset, and create alongside like-minded individuals.
