Known for his iconic collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and Tyla, as well as his photojournalism across continents, Elderkin’s work carries both scale and intention. A storyteller of extraordinary range, his lens has helped define how we see the world.

10 years ago, I made my first short film, CAPTURELAND, inspired by my brother @chronixxmusic and guided by the task of choosing a quote from Nelson Mandela. The one that spoke to me most was:
“I am not a saint, unless you think of a saint as a sinner who keeps on trying.”
That journey introduced me to so many incredible people, both in front of and behind the camera — people who’ve become friends for life. It also opened the door for me to keep building and creating within the most inspiring spirit, and creativity of Jamaica people & culture 🇯🇲🫡🙏🏽. And shout out to the OG @wintajames1 for the rare cameo 😅 It’s 16mins so its a medium short 🎥
And a subtle pertinent reminder we are all (well most) living on Captureland.
