i know i say every project is wild, but this one was wildddd. shot on 35 mf mm. 2 unit crew. 4 AM wrap. whole script switched 2 nights before. watching belly with aicha and thuan til our brains fried. 7 street burger for dinner. tess missed her flight from brazil the day before. casting dede from across the bar at an industry party. caprisun and fruit rollups in the crafty cus 12 year old me like dat shit. jacket caught on fire. 3 cars pulled out. had some of my favorite people in the world on set. lots of tears, lots of “fuck it’s”. this is not for the weak, but i’m in it to be one of the greats. to my crew, everyone’s not pictured here but y’all held it down. grateful for all the patience, the care, and the love on this one. thank you for being a reflection of me. 🌎 🫀 film captured by @how_mene_liks graphics by @eva.thecreator
