WHY do we require a second day of wedding stylist/dresser when a party has 5 or more bridesmaids?
Because for us it is not just about the fashion… I know that may sound strange coming from a fashion stylist.
For us, it is all about our clients being present and enjoying every moment of their day. We take care of the fashion so that this is possible.
With 5 or more maids, we have one dresser dedicated solely to the bride - to steam her gown and veil , prepare her accessories, to help her to dress, to style her portraits, and to make sure her needs are met.
The second dresser does the same for the maids. They also can apply double sided or boob tape, can apply moleskin or anti rub lotion to feet, can cut out hanger straps, sew last minute fabric tears or strap adjustments, and tie bow ties.
If we did not have a dedicated stylist to do this, it would take time away from the bride.
It would take time away from her special moments and her memories.
We are there to facilitate those memories and moments BECAUSE the fashion is flawless. Because we are putting time into making it so, so that the focus can be on the day and letting it unfold as it should … flawlessly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Beth — Just wanted to send a quick note of thanks to your team for this weekend. Shana and Callan saved the day on several occasions - from sewing my mom into her dress, to holding my dress out of the rain, and giving bridesmaid dresses a second round of steaming at the venue, they were so invaluable and helped our day run so smoothly and seamlessly, we truly could not have done it without them!
We thought that enlisting your team was going to be helpful but we had no idea just how helpful, they made this so stress-free for us and we could not be more grateful!!” - Jenna

What’s the difference between a bridal stylist and a bridal dresser?
This is a question I get all the time!
A bridal stylist assists clients in selecting their wedding wardrobe. They often shop with their clients, help to curate their look and attend their fittings to ensure a perfect fit.
A bridal dresser is present on the wedding day/weekend to ensure that the garments are all steamed and pressed. They assist the couple and bridal party in dressing, styling the portraits, bustling the gown, and taking care of fashion emergencies.
In our case, our dressers attend our client’s third and final fittings.
Bridal stylists may also provide dressing services and dressing service can also be provided when fashion selection did not take place.
At our recent Lanai wedding I had the very unique opportunity to work with colleagues who also provide styling and dressing services through their companies.
For K & L’s wedding, @carrielauren and @lexfordays curated the exceptional wedding wardrobe for the wedding weekend and events leading up to it.
@theweddingdetailor provided on site alterations.
And myself and @laurenboylestyles provided dressing services for K & L, their party and family.
It was truly a dream team! Some may question how it was to work with those whose services and companies overlap....
the answer… it was amazing !
Each of us showcased our unique talents and came together to create magic ! 💫

Just dropped: NYBFW Trend Recap Spring/Summer 2027.
One month ago (time flies!) I joined my bestie @candice.coppola for an episode of her @powerinpurpose podcast to talk all things New York Bridal Fashion Week.
In this episode, I broke down the latest trends that were shown at NYBFW and what wedding planners can expect to see for fashion at their 2027 weddings.
If I am a bit delirious , please forgive me… I had just returned from New York 12 hours before and was heading into surgery the next morning for a hysterectomy for adenomyosis. I was a bit bleary eyed and in pain, but that is how much I love my girl, Candice (and how much I love bridal!)

My younger self, “Bethy” would be so proud.
For as long as I can remember, I loved fashion. I wanted to be a designer, but as you can see from the sketches, it was just not in the cards 🤣🤣
I’ve also always had a “job”. I was the kid in the neighborhood handing out flyers to clean your house or walk your dog!
I combined my two passions, entrepreneurship and fashion and am now proud to own 3 companies- My bridal store, @thewhitedress that I have owned for over 20 years, my styling business, Beth Chapman Styling, where I am honored to assist couples in selecting their fashion for their wedding and provide day of wedding dressing services, and Beth Chapman Consulting where I coach and educate independent bridal store owners.
There have been so many days that have been hard on my journey, but the joy I get from being involved in someone’s wedding and helping them to look and feel beautiful overrides all of that.
Way to go, Bethy! 💪😍

Spring Summer 2027 New York Bridal Fashion week showed a return to modesty.
Strapless necklines still prevailed, but we also saw the scoop neck emerge, and well as off the shoulder and spaghetti strap necklines.
For brides who want more coverage or who love the idea of transforming their look throughout the day, designers showed a wide variety of options: lace and illusion toppers, structured jackets and capes.
Veils are back in a big way and the trend is once again traditional - the mantilla.
I love timeless classic brides, so the fact that this aesthetic is back at the forefront of fashion warms my heart.
Which of these trends is your favorite?

Spring Summer 2027 just graced the runways of New York Bridal Fashion week. This was one of the best bridal fashion weeks in a long time!
There was so much newness for brides and so many options…so much so, I have to break this bridal fashion week recap into 2 parts!
The overall trend was all about femininity- with full skirts, ruffles, draping, bows and florals.
Traditional lace continued, but we also saw interesting fabric interest, large scale florals and a touch of color (perfect for Spring). 😍
Stay tuned for part 2!

As I wrap up what I believe to be my 53rd (ish) bridal fashion week (I have lost count) 🤯, I leave with such a full heart.
This week was filled with reconnecting with so many colleagues and bridal industry besties, and celebrating milestones - in our industry and in the lives of some of our industry icons.
I can’t wait to share the trends and my favorite looks, but I am thrilled that overall what was presented was a return to a classic aesthetic. It felt a bit like it did 50+ bridal markets ago and I am beyond thrilled to see it.
A million (and beyond) thank yous to the talented and amazing @sarahbradshawphoto for sharing her images with me.
Here are a few jaw dropping behind the scenes moments.
To me, the BTS are often the best part …. Because you get to see the magic as it unfolds.
More soon ….

It’s hard to believe that NYBFW is upon us again!
Here is what I anticipate we will see during New York bridal fashion week:
-Vintage inspired gowns: with vintage becoming so popular with brides in recent seasons, designers are taking that hint and many collections will have more of a vintage feel
-Corsetry continues: because of the point above, we will continue to see corseted gowns and corset details in many collections
-Unconstructed looks: on the flip side, we will also see unconstructed, non fitted looks heavily inspired by the 1920’s - think strapless tunics over column skirts or wide leg pants
-Balletcore: Get ready for tulle! With balletcore taking over ready to wear, we will see it translate to the white aisle as well !
Traditional lace: we saw a return to traditional lace last season and we will continue to see that this season. This also follows the more classic, vintage inspired trend
Fabric interest: Designers are thinking out of the box more and more with fabric development. I am excited to see interesting textured fabrics - from florals, to pleating … I can’t wait to see what they deliver!
Follow along as the fashion unfolds!

The couple met while working in Washington DC. Kathleen served as a senior advisor and counsel in the executive office of the President and Ben served as counsel in both the education and commerce departments.
Kathleen is one of the kindest women I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Truly beautiful inside and out. (And an absolute power house)!🤍🤍
